I’m going to put it like this, anyone who writes a bad review was just wanting to leave and get high. This place is better than amazing. Everyone cares about you. You’re not just a number . There are only 6 patients here at one time. I have been several rehabs and everyone of those rehabs I was counting the days down to leave. At this place I was counting the days because I did not wanna leave this place. This is the most amazing treatment center . Josh is awesome he would watch me all night long because of me severe benzodiazepines withdrawals. Every staff member gets a 5 star. And if there was a higher star I would put it

I did 30 days of residential treatment at Monarch Shores in their flagship “brochure” home “M1.” It was absolutely the most impactful 30 day span I’ve ever experienced in life. The staff are a diverse bunch of compassionate people, many in long-term recovery, who respond quickly to needs and problems. The Director of Operations is a highly involved professional who gives out his direct number, and during my stay two clients went to him directly with an issue that was handled rapidly. The house is of course beautiful and I saw a couple of the other homes (M2 and M4 which were also gorgeous homes), and M1 is renowned for that beautiful view of the beach from its wrap-around patio. Groups were mostly very productive and provoked a lot of growth. My experiences with the house case manager and house therapist were 100% positive, productive, and transformative. I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of this first big step in my own recovery.

i can’t thank monarch shores, specifically M4, enough for helping me get my life together. from the moment i arrived, the staff made me feel supported and cared for. alan is extremely supportive and goes the extra mile for all the clients. the treatment was personalized, and Tiffany, the therapist truly helped me understand and address the root causes of my addiction. the entire staff is amazing—compassionate, patient, and always there when i needed them. i had a great experience and would 100% recommend this place to anyone in need of help. it’s more than just a rehab; it’s a place where you can truly rebuild your life.

Amazing people! After years of my family and friends begging me to seek help for my alcohol addiction I was given an ultimatum. Either get help or you will no longer be welcome in our home. I'm so grateful that I ended up at Monarch M4. I had my reservations after negative experiences with two brief stints in detox prior to this. Those concerns were quickly quelled by the knowledge, kindness and professionalism I received from the staff at M4. Jose (House Supervisor) is a fantastic person that works tirelessly to ensure that his clients receive the care that they need. Shout out to Alan, Olivia and Theresa. These are members of the team at M4 that helped me through a rough detox and put me on the path to recovery. They gave me quality advice, shared their own experiences with recovery and made sure that I was cared for every step of the way. I would like to say thank you to my Case Manager Kristy. She's down to earth, easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable in an environment that would usually cause me anxiety. My favorite quality about Kristy is the joy that you can see in her when she hears good news about former clients maintaining their sobriety and succeeding in there recovery. This is a person that truly cares. Thank you to Tiffany (Therapist) for helping me to realize things about myself that I otherwise may not have considered. She's very easy to talk to and has a wealth of experience and information to share with you. I could go on all day about the quality of the team at M4. I will always be grateful for what they did for me. They made me feel welcome and M4 felt like a second home. These people care about your well being and your future success! Monarch was awesome! The staff and therapists were super friendly, cordial, and down to earth. The place was always clean, which was great. Made some new friends there. The food was good and they made sure to accommodate everyone's diets.

If you're serious about getting sober, Monarch has your back. Not to mention, the oceanside view at my house was a daily treat. Got to catch some amazing sunsets every evening. They had stuff lined up for the week like yoga and acupuncture, as well as a fitness trainer. Weekly outings like movie nights, whale watching, and beach trips. TVs in every room, comfortable beds. Just remember it's firstly a recovery center and not a luxury hotel. You'll have to get along with others and learn to share a house. But if you're honest about your soberiety, it's surprisingly chill and definitely feels like a mini vacation

Monarch Shores (specifically M8 in Mission Viejo) saved my life. I’ve been to a few residentials and rehabs, and this place by far had the most kind and caring staff anyone could ask for.
