The recent work I had done was exemplary. I couldn’t have been any happier with Dr Hunters skill and if that wasn’t enough, my previous work from years ago was honored and it didn’t cost me anything. Going to the dentist is not know for pleasantries but that was proved wrong yesterday. I couldn’t be happier with yesterday’s outcome. The front receptionists are great!
So friendly and helpful. Loved chatting and joking with them while I waited for my kid.
Dr. Bowen can be trusted to explain the dental issues he sees and appears to be knowledgeable in preventative options to treat cavities rather then strait to drill and fill. I am having to move from Eagle River to Anchorage but plan to stay with this practice.

I have as others been a faithful fan of midnight sun dentistry for almost 15 years. With the change over of the practice when Dr Woodring retired, there has been a huge change in services. Apparently the new owner has multiple sites and a rotation of hygienists. The front desk staff is not very personable and didn’t greet me when I came for my appointment. I was ignored while hygienists chatted down the hallway. I was then told that my middle daughter would only have a cleaning and not see a dentist. On calling we were told that maybe our insurance only covered cleaning not exams every 6-months. I have never had this happen and on checking my insurance DOES include an exam and cleaning every time. Very disappointing service and handling of me and my family who now will be finding another dentist in Eagle River.

Casey Bowen DMD. He is a fantastic dentist, who cares. He really does a great job and has good eye sight.... So he can see what's wrong and has the skill to fix it!
The other man who works there... Philip Latteier, is awful, he couldn't even see that the tooth was crumbling along the filling and gives off creepy vibes... unfortunately he is the owner.
The hygienists are cheery and do a good job cleaning, without gum poking!

I have been with Midnight sun dental for 8 years. Dr. Woodring sold the business in 2019/2020. After my appointment someone screwed up Federal Blue cross Blue shield insurance submission. The new management sent me a 90 day past due letter threatened to send me to collections over a 40 bill insurance miss coding. Their fault so says the insurance company. I paid them off and will find another dental provider in Eagle river. To be fair their work was top notch, however the new administration and my experience with their ability to process a claim leaves a lot to be desired. I will not use in them in future, and will recommend others look elsewhere.

I have been going to Dr. Woodring for over 10 years. I love the care I get from his entire practice. His staff is professional, knowledagble and efficient. I would (and have) highly recommend Midnight Sun Dental Center for your family’s oral heath care. I also recently had an urgent reason to be seen and they got me in for same day service. Oh, and if you need a crown...he does it all in his office in one visit...no need for multiple appointments and a temporary crown. Current technology and expert dental care!

can’t recommend this place enough! i was in throbbing tooth pain at 37 weeks pregnant and didn’t know what it was. i’m new to alaska and didn’t know which places to go to so i googled emergency dental line and called this place! they got me in same day and were extremely accommodating to me and so helpful on all levels. it ended up being my wisdom tooth and i got it pulled the same day, even with me being extremely pregnant i felt so comfortable in their hands! 100% will be going back 🙂
