Been using this pharmacy for decades. Would like to still use it, but it's gone downhill over the years. Was much better when Melvin was there most of the time. For the most part, almost all of the employees are great, but there are a few that seem somewhat evil and need some customer service training. I can understand having a bad day every now and then, but if you don't like dealing with customers and the issues that go with working for a pharmacy (and what you get paid to do), look for another job. Don't take it out on the customers.

It's a good old-school family-oriented pharmacy with reasonable prices. It's usually a little crowded when I go there either on the inside or in the drive-thru, the waiting time is usually fair and the employees are usually nice. If their phone service was more reliable meaning you gotta call like 10 times (busy sound) before you get someone on the phone I would've given Melvin’s Pharmacy 5 stars

Pricing is 2nd to none, the owner is obviously a great guy bc while others are charging as much as they can, Melvin’s gives you the best possible price, and does this while employing an army of personnel in order to get your scripts filled as efficiently as possible. Only place I’ll go.

Caring and helpful staff. They go out of their way to help and offer low cost prescriptions (especially if paying cash due to being non insured or not covered by your insurance). Friendly staff and quick service. They also open earlier than most pharmacies in town, so you can stop in on your way to work. Highly recommend this pharmacy!!

My experience with this pharmacy was excellent until the blizzard hit. No posting of hours, no social media presence or recorded message. And when they finally do reopen, unannounced, the wretched Walmart-like creature that waited on me was extremely rude and clearly is souring the once stellar reputation of this place.

Melvin's pharmacy is one of the best pharmacies I have ever used here in El Dorado. They have the best prices and everyone is so knowledgeable. Whether you're talking to the pharmacist or the tech's, everyone knows what they're talking about. This is just like a home store pharmacy to me where everyone knows your name. No matter what time you go in this location you'll always meet someone that you know.
