Overall, I like Mayo. Good care. But... Recently was told that they have canceled their patient shuttle service which has been a huge plus for those of us with mobility issues. Getting to the front door of the clinic from the parking lot that is a few Hundred Yards away becomes incredibly difficult if not impossible.
After driving 35 miles to make my appointment, I shouldn't have to hire a taxi to get to the front door from the parking lot.
Apparently, this is a "cost-saving" measure that only ends up costing the patient.

SCAM ALERT: apparently recent guidelines allow clinics to charge additional 'office visits' at the same time you're paying for a regular preventative visit. If the doctor asks about your health and you answer them, and they provide any kind of information (I've heard as little as 5 minutes to say 'use lotion' for dry skin and charging 'complex' diagnoses for minor things), they can charge you without getting permission to provide treatment beyond your exam or letting you know that your minor health issue goes beyond what's covered in the preventative visit. While I can understand wanting to charge for actual complex diagnoses that go beyond a typical annual visit, this does not absolve *anyone* from their ethical duty to inform another person that providing a service will incur additional charges. This is dishonest and done with intent to collect money from unsuspecting patients, which meets the definition of a scam.

**Note: I told my provider I was there for my annual preventative visit, and only that visit, but I was still charged $332 in addition to the preventative visit, so please don't think if you've made it clear that you only want your preventative visit that they will respect your rights and not charge you more anyways.

Dr. Benjamin Dilger, is very dismissive and likes to gaslight your medical concern. I've never met such a rude and inconsiderate doctor in my life.! As others said it wouldn't be a surprise if mayo deletes bad reviews they don't like people posting to give the truth.

I have going to Mayo for years and I wanted to write a review that wasn’t based on a single experience. The facility is always extremely clean and cheery. The dr that I see on a normal basis is fantastic and I have gone to a few other drs who are just as thoughtful and caring. On occasion the people at the front desk can be a bit unpleasant which is unfortunate because otherwise it would have been a five start rating.

On Monday my son came into Onalaska Mayo Clinic with a severe rash all over his body. We came in checked in on time waited 30 mins before getting called to the back and an other 30 mins before being seen by a doctor. Not once being told they were running behind. Doctor spent a whole ten mins with us five of those messing with his computer because it was running slow. Gave us a referral to dermatologist when you could clearly see it was an allergy to something. My son told him he was in pain and very uncomfortable. Gave us a prescription for more ointment that we told him wasn’t helping. Dermatologist couldn’t get us in for another month and a half. I am tired of Mayo Clinic and their lack of concern . They have done this with all 3 of my kids. Switched to Gundersen, one look and they sent him to pediatric allergy department and they are seeing him ASAP! Finally my son after 7 years of skin issues and months of agony will have some relief.

My son is sick and was running high Temp at 106.2 F. Took him and spoke to the ladt, waited for 5 mins and she comes up to me saying they can't see him their us a insurance issue. He covered threw badger care and somehow a mistake happen. We had to drive to Gunderson. What kind of place refuses a sick child! To me all they care about is money.
