I highly recommend Livingston Hills! They changed my mother’s life. Trust this place.
I just read some recent negative reviews and they are wrong and unfair. How do I know? I have been in the facility for the last 6 days, sometimes for more than 8 hours and I’ve gotten to know everyone and tried to find anything wrong. Here’s what convinced me the place is well run: today, with zero fanfare, the owners were doing a tour AND the staff didn’t act any differently than they did when I was here the previous 5 days… same calm professionalism and same clean and safe facility. Clearly I was paid to make this review, right? Well hear me out.

My Mom has advanced dementia, and after 4 years of taking care of her at my home in Germantown (15 minutes away), wonderful nurses, social workers and local friends helped me place her in Livingston Hills a few weeks ago.

Last week Medicare said she wasn’t making good enough progress with her physical therapy and was going to stop paying to treat her. Immediately the staff at Livingston rallied me to help them, pushed Medicare off, and bought me a week to personally come in - and with the direction of the staff - had me do everything possible to get Mom to respond.

It’s worked! Last Wednesday she didn’t interact at all, wouldn’t grab a cup when offered and certainly couldn’t drink on her own. Within just a few days she’s talking, grabbing cups off the table, and well… just look at her photos on day 6! Literally a miracle has occurred, this place is blessed ?… and her physical therapist is world class amazing!

I’ll update this when we hear what Medicare has to say; but, regardless of the outcome, what matters is that Livingston Hills fought for my mother to have a better life and I have tears of gratitude in my eyes as I write this in the hall while she holds my hand.

You can trust this place, it’s absolutely blessed.

My family and I would like to thank the staff at Livingston Hills for their supportive care for my mother, while recovering from a pelvic fracture.
Dan is helping my mother with her physical therapy, treating her as if she were family.
Crystyn is providing patient guidance for a family on edge, emotionally. The interface that she provides is not only professional, but compassionate.
Dr. Patel, the Medical Director, provided a clear prognosis for her potential recovery, interrupting his busy schedule, to consult with our family.
Heather worked to provide pain relief, as my mother’s Nurse Practitioner, trying to quickly adapt to my mother’s individual needs.
Valerie is providing daily supervision of the endless requests that my mother has, as the unit manager.
Jolene, the facility administrator, made the effort to address financial concerns that arise.

I’m certain that I’ve missed the opportunity to commend all of the real people who are caring for my mother - but I cannot overstate how much they have done to improve my mother’s condition, as well as allaying our family fears about this rehabilitation process, for my 90 year old mom.

Livingston Hills operates as a considerate nursing facility, with integrity in their care.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would!!!! JOLINE in administration is RASIST !!! She called the cops on my husband (who is black) because he asked her if he can get corporates number… she then proceeded to tell the cops that my husband ( who was the kitchen supervisor ) was being hostile and refused to leave when that wasn’t the case at all ! He then called me and when I showed up to talk to her to get corporates number or to speak to one of them in the building, she pretended to be in a “meeting” to call the cops yet again !! When a gentleman from corporate walked pasted us I asked if I could speak to him ( he told me” yes give him a minute”) … Joline then ran out of her office yelling “you have to leave I already called the cops”!!! I told her that “ I want to speak to corporate & that I do NOT work here… he ( my husband) can go I want to speak to corporate”!!! As me and the gentleman were trying to have a conversation she’s yelling over top of me telling me to leave and that the cops are on their way because we are being hostile and refusing to leave ( we were not). I asked to speak or get the number to corporate the gentleman gave me his number so I could call him the next day and speak to him about my concerns and questions… how ever when I called the next day I found out the gentleman (corporate) gave me the wrong number!!
This place is very unprofessional !!!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL !!!!!!

My stay there was nothing short of a nightmare. The food was not even edible. It's filthy. No one ever came into my room to clean, empty garbage, sweep of mop. Not in two weeks that I was there. I found most of the staff to be cruel and impaitient. I am so thankful that I have a voice to express it. God protect those there that cannot.

My dad has been suffering with Dementia and Alzheimer’s for some time, recently he was hospitalized and needed to be placed in a care facility. The only available bed the hospital could find was at Livingston Hills. We were unfamiliar with it as we live a good distance away. Needless to say, we were not sure what we were walking into the first time we visited my dad at Livingston Hills. I can say we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were all friendly, caring and gave us the impression that they would do whatever they could to take care of my dad.
Mickey, Heather, Crystyn, Joe and pretty much everyone we met there were incredible.
I wanted to leave a review because many nursing homes have are understaffed and the level of care is not what the family members want for their loved ones. That is not the case at Livingston Hills, the staff is professional, friendly and caring. It’s nice to know that your loved ones are safe and well cared for at Livingston Hills.

Food is not edible. We get only milk to drink. Night nurses and aides for a kind of wolf pack. A nurse got accidently bumped by my tray table as I was trying to sit up. She RAMMED my wheelchair into my knee.THSN, she and the aide said they wouldnt be r3dponding to my call bell. Several on to treat weak patients like that. eVER! NOTHING will ever change . Try NEVER to send your lovedhiurs later, they would not respond. Being bed pan dependant i sat in a urine soaked bed for hours. I called the main number and got SARAH a lovely, chee4ful nurse, who cames to my aide things will never changed try to NEVER send your loved one to a nursing home/ trhab. My God!

The administrative staff is despicable they don't allow residents to have visitors of choice ...They ban people who advocate for loved ones , friends whom they love and trust and they don't give you a reason , Staff abuse you verbally and threatens to beat the ever living daylights out of you , promises to break every bone in your body , when leaving the premises not their premises... They lie , they call the police accuse you of being on their property when it is not their property at all....Try to have you arrested to justify their actions , Why , they don't want the truth getting out , they know they're guilty of a lot of things like neglect... Violating patient rights and the rights of friends and visitors... They are so understaffed , the residents are the ones paying the price...The housekeeping department should be fired... The food is barely edible... There are staff members who's behavior is totally unacceptable their professionalism is zero... They are not choosy as to who they hire... I have experienced the ignorance & abuse from the staff personally .They lack pride... The system allows abuse ... The state of New York looks the other way and does not do a thorough investigation at all... They don't make surprise inspections , they are scheduled well in advance... Did I mention the ombudsman... Like the state they don't answer phone calls they don't do proper investigations ... The administration goes above and beyond to deceitfully get in writing what they want such as asking the resident if they want to see someone using a name that that person has no idea who it is instead of calling them by the name that the person knows them as , not everybody goes by their birth name ...
They will / do claim you're on their property when in fact you're not , they forget to tell how they're instigating starting trouble verbally abusing you every time you drive by , even though you work on the premises the Adventist premises ... They took Christmas away from the residents there , a friend and I were planning on going over there as elves like we do at other nursing homes passing out stuffed animals small gifts for the residents , the lovely director and Shanna I think she is the social worker banned me from the premises .. Very aggressive and very unprofessional the lovely director goes along with the corruption... Let me clarify she did not answer any of my questions she would not ask the resident what she wanted... They took that right away from her all in the name of Love , a family member said I couldn't visit , the family member had no legitimate reason as a family member knew I had been helping her for a very long , the staff there didn't question the matter and ask or find out why it would be in the best interest of the resident how could it be in the best interest of a resident to ban someone that they care about who helps them who had been helping them for 3 years...? The only reason my friend went to Livingston hills is , her husband lives on the premises is her health care proxy , also it is convenient for him , we all know when people come to visit you in a nursing home you get the best possible care ... Ones who have no one to watch out for them and advocate for them are the ones that suffer the most
