2 issues: I didn’t know they didn’t have a separate alzheimers wing or unit that most nursing homes have . The dementia folks co mingle with the others. My friend, a resident there, told me one man is confused and angry and worried he might hit him. the dining room table next to him has 4 very confused women. Also I was there at lunch time and it took over an hr before they are served lunch. Why?! Those Poor old folks having to sit in wheelchairs a long time isn’t a comfortable thing. And their piano needs tuning. Surely they can afford that to be done

In august 2023 we talked to Dana about placing my father in law there we told her everything up front about dementia and gave her all his health records from Michigan even the ones from dementia ward for rehab. She didn’t have a problem with it. They didn’t access him or do a health background check on him, they just said bring him sept 1st which we did. She told us about her own mom so we trusted her, after the 4th day he was there Alex kept saying he has to go. They did not communicate to the staff he had dementia, when we told some of the nurses they said oh that makes sense now. They didn’t give him time to adjust at all. Also about a day or two he didn’t eat a nurse got worried and called we went there and took him to cafeteria and he ate they failed to communicate that his food had to be cut up on meats and things like pancakes but he can feed himself, she left right then and made sure it was on his chart so the rest would know since the ones we told didn’t communicate it. He walks slow and yes he did start to wander which he didn’t do at the house for the whole year he lived with us due to changing up environment and took away his comfort from smoking so of course he can walk and wandered he thought he was going upstairs and or to work. Instead of offering or sending him to behavioral unit they just said he had to go. On his health care plan they have on all residents he didn’t even have end goals for him listed. Just his behavior on it. He did flirt with the women and they didn’t like that but when the women did it to him they thought it was cute and funny. A few of the staff came up to us and said I don’t know why they have a problem with him he is harmless and not doing anything wrong. Anyways he fell on November 27th the nurses log said they called but my Att phone log showed they didn’t. They put him on Zoloft to help stop the wandering and all but it made it worse so we took him off and he got better but instead of offering help they just kept saying he is wandering and for his safety and others he had to go we did get a notice we did appeal it on the day of appeal we did back out of it and decided yes he did need to go to a memory ward due to the fact when we walked into the nursing home for appeal he was telling a staff member a nurse or aid that he had to go to bathroom instead of walking him to it they pointed and said you have to go back that way. He thought a closet was the bathroom that he was trying to go in. We heard it and my husband grab him and said come on dad let’s go to your room to bathroom by that time it was too late he had an accident so right then we decided he needed better care for his dementia that understands the disease better equip for dementia patients that can walk. If they would have taken the proper steps we would have never been in the situation we was in but they failed in their end. Don’t get me wrong they do have a handful of excellent staff that did do their jobs and do care. Dana told the judge that she would help us find a place but after he left and was asked if she could give us references she said no she can’t and hasn’t ever done that before. Alex can’t handle conflicts at all. Another resident has fallen and it was never reported or logged. Yes they do right in most cases but watch who you trust and keep eye out. I wasn’t going to post a review but I don’t want this to happen to another resident and family just no matter where or what nursing home or rehab keep eyes and ears open especially when it comes to your love ones and their health. Yes we did talk to the main place in Little Rock and went by what we was told to do and that’s the reason we waited for 30 day notice. We tried to do the right thing and we did his well being is more important then fighting appeal win or lose. To the good ones there you know who you are Thank you for watching over him.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. Their drivers need to learn how to safely transport passengers in wheel chairs. Arkansas affords certain liability shelters for not for profits and that’s the only thing saving them.

My father was on hospice at this facility. The nurses refused to follow his doctors instructions. The administration did not express condolences or care except to send me bill.
