Worst place I ever worked! The facility went without heat for weeks. I was asked if I had an extra heater that I could bring for the residents. I brought a heater from home, to help heat the hallways.. only to find out it was not being used for the residents but the maintenance man needed it for his office. Then the nursing home ran out of food, due to the weather. What kind of nursing home doesn’t have an emergency supply of food? I even donated snacks, that I purchased, to the nursing home. Oh, the medication errors that were covered up. When I tried to go by the proper procedures, I was told it was a mistake. How would you feel if a “mistake” was made with your family members medication.This just floored me... there is no crash cart, ready for a code. Before a code can addressed the supplies that are needed for such an emergency has to be collected. Time that could be spent working on saving a life! If you love your family and want the best of care....this is not the place to be!
