Quick story…I had a tooth with a bad infection and was in desperate need of a root canal. My face was swollen and I was in horrible pain. My dentist, of over 20 years who had always taken great care of me, just recently retired. I went to the new dentist in his old office. They took an xray, gave me a 10-day prescription of amoxicillin, and told me I’d have to wait 3-4 weeks to schedule my next appointment while they wait for insurance authorization. A week later, the pain continued to get worse. I called my insurance company and they told me that no prior authorization is required for a root canal, especially if there is an infection. I relayed this information to the dental office, but they still insisted on waiting. I called Doctor Lentz’s office late on a Friday, and they scheduled me an appointment as a new patient for the following Monday. Doctor Lentz saw how badly my face was swollen and took immediate action. He removed the dead nerve causing the infection in under an hour, cleaned it out, and gave me a new prescription for a stronger antibiotic. A day later and I feel great! I can’t thank this guy enough. The entire experience from start to finish was fantastic. If you want to be treated like a patient and not a number, pay Doctor Lentz a visit. He’s the real deal.
