I must sing praises of Amy a PA for the superb care I have received. Four weeks ago went to the urgent care clinic on Drusilla with a severe dog bite. Amy took charge of my treatment. I was lucky that she previously worked for a Plastic Surgeon and was well acquainted with procedures required to work with such a complex wound. She went above and beyond the call of duty by examining photos of the wound every day and advising on the daily care of such a deep wound. I am eternally grateful to her for her compassionate and expert care!

Lake urgent care is now located across the street from its old location and has an upscale feel. The staff was efficient in getting me seen, and the provider was friendly and experienced.

I went to Drusilla Urgent Care last Sunday early evening. After chest X-rays, the doctor diagnosed me with pneumonia. He gave me NO MEDICATION or even a breathing treatment, but told me to go to the ER. It is now dark outside and due to AMD, I don’t drive at night. I’m an RN and begged him to give me the much needed medicine, but he refused. I had to get my neighbor to drive me to the ER, where everything was confirmed and I was given the appropriate medication that I needed, plus 2 breathing treatments before they sent me home. I am now on the mend, no thanks to the physician on call Sunday evening!!!

First of all, Dr Mitchell appeared unconcerned about my condition, then all he would say is I think, I think, I think about my hip when I'm telling him it's my side, not my hip. Then he recommended a steroid injection or pill cause "He Thinks" my oblique muscle is in flame. So I proceeded with his diagnosis, until I got to my car and thought about it. I went back in to let them know I wasn't satisfied with my diagnosis. I paid $170 for a "I Think" diagnosis, then the receptionist said I had another $45 added and she didn't know why. So another lady (nurse) was sent out to help me, and upon my request, she did an xray on my hip and not my side where the pain was between my hip & ribs. She only did what was diagnosed to her. I wouldn't refer no one there as long as Dr Mitchell Montelaro is there. The other staff was ok, and the lady who came out to assist me was awesome!!!

My Lake Urgent care experience was exceptional. The process was professional and streamlined and the facility was new and up to date. I was in and out in about 1.25 hours, including lab tests and X-rays. The staff was very kind and Dr. Brandt spent time asking good questions about my symptoms and being sure I understood how to take the medicine and aftercare instructions. I would recommend this urgent care highly.

I took My Daughter to this lake after care the other Day. normally I go to the one on Perkins but it was close An She Really wasn't feeling good The receptionist was really nice. The Nurses was ok. The doctor was ok.. The Nurses are doctor don't wear gloves had to tell them B4 that touch my daughter. I didn't see them put on hand sanitizer when they walked in the room. On my goodness the Rooms was so Nasty I was scared to sit down are touch anything. The lake Need to do Better with this Urgent care.

I don’t know if they don’t like when people check in online, but they seemed to encourage that on their website, so I did that, thinking that was the best idea. I made an appointment online and filled out paperwork online. I figured I’d need to fill out more when I came in anyways, as I always have to. I walk in and get in line and make it to the front after a few people. Seemed she was in a hurry , which I understand! I’m in a hurry every day when I’m at work too. The first thing she said to me was “license and insurance.” Not hello, nothing. I started digging in my purse for it and while I was doing that I said “I also checked in online.” She didn’t look up from the desk and said “cool, still need it”. I was a little taken aback because it was pretty rude the way she said it and I thought I hadn’t said anything to make her have that reaction at this point. I said “I figured you still need my ID, I’m grabbing it now, but don’t you think that was rude the way you spoke to me?” She scowled at me with the ugliest look and said “what’s rude? that I still need it?” And gawked at me like I was just the dumbest idiot that ever walked the planet. I said it was just a little aggressive, then she shoved a clipboard at me and said “go sit down and fill that out”. I was thinking in my head I should leave right now. But I do what she said, I go sit down and fill it out. When I was bringing the
Clip board back up, I said by the way, I wasn’t trying to annoy you, and it wasn’t what you said, it was the manner in which you said it that was very rude. She said “mam I don’t have to go back and forth with you today”. I was not asking her to go back and forth with me. I was trying to communicate that I simply did not deserve being talked to like that, it’s not normal for people to treat others like that for no reason. It was like when I was telling her I already checked in, she ASSUMED I was expecting to get out of filling out paperwork, but I was really telling her that because I havent pre checked in online in a long time and I forgot the process. She told me “go sit down” at one point. I never raised my voice at her or said anything unkind. But I can tell she is allowed to act like that by whoever is in charge. I’ve worked in customer service for 11 years and I was like wow my boss would never let me act like that but I also just wouldnt want to, she should be embarrassed that that’s how she handles people when she’s….. I dont even know if id called it stressed out because How stressful can that desk job be? I don’t know if that’s just her personality but omg that was so bizarre. I would never tell one of my customers “go sit down and fill out your paperwork.” I asked her her name and it was super weird and hard to pronounce and the expressions on her face are so hard to look at so I’m gonna let it slide today. I will be praying for her heart because something is …. Off. I have never been told in my life “I’m not *finna* go back and forth with you”. I wasn’t asking her to go back and forth, I was asking her why I deserved for her to be so rude towards me for literally no reason. I get that she might have to deal with the public everyday but she doesn’t need to be treating random
People so ugly. It makes this urgent care look so bad. I have been coming here since I moved to Baton Rouge and I will never ever come back to a lake urgent care. Never again. I mean if I talked to a customer like that at my RESTAURANT job (way less serious) I would get fired. I’d coach my employee on common decency and then if they didn’t learn and my employee talked to someone like that again? I’d fire them because that kind of personality can’t be fixed and just doesn’t need to be concerned with customer

Sadly, Online appointment system is totally worthless. NO need to make an appt when you still wait hours behind WALK-INS. This function should be dismantled on the website. Front desk staff and doctors are helpful and caring, just the wait to get in is PAINFUL!

Very nice facility. The front desk staff, medical assistants and providers were all really friendly and professional. It looked as if I would have a long wait by the amount of people in the lobby but they moved the patients in and out rather smoothly. The front desk worker was really friendly with me and patient while I worked out my payment. So thankful for her kindness and generosity during a moment I felt horrible. Awesome team!

Staff is polite, professional, caring, and knowledgeable. Felt so much better and confident with their follow up plan for my recovery.
Facility is extremely clean (much cleaner than many ERs). Overall, best urgent care I have been to in years! Highly recommend!

Extremely impressed with this location of Lake Urgent Care. I was there for less than thirty minutes from the time I arrived to the time I walked out the door. They addressed my medical issues promptly and efficiently and My prescription was sent electronically before I left.
If I should need urgent care in the future this is where I will go and I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing urgent care services.

They took the time to care for me in a way letting me know they were truly concerned in helping me. Also they were kind and very supportive trying to find out what was going with my illness.
