Steve was a pleasure to work with! I worked with him to rehab my shoulder post-surgery, and he got me back to climbing at my previous level ASAP. Our sessions consisted primarily of shoulder mobilization work and establishing strengthening routines. Not only did he help me through the recovery process, he also educated me on the bio-mechanics of shoulder movement, so that chances of a repeat injury stay low.

Steve is incredibly positive and patient, always making sure that I had any questions answered before moving on. The nature of his remote PT is also really convenient, and he structured workouts based on the equipment I had available to me. I can't recommend him enough!

I saw Dr. Steve Kim for low back tension and pain management. He is highly knowledgeable and patient, explaining the potential causes of my chronic low back tension. Unlike traditional physical therapy, my session with Steve was motivating, engaging, and patient-centered. He thoroughly explained the biomechanics of the lower back, which helped me better visualize my form while performing exercises to support my lower back.

We also reviewed some at-home exercises I had been practicing, and he guided me in modifying my form to make the exercises more effective and therapeutic. I highly recommend Dr. Steve Kim to anyone seeking a sports-performance-focused physical therapist.

Steve is a great Physio to work with. I spend about 6 months working with him to come back from a couple of A2 pulley injuries. He was very responsive, and amazing at explaining exactly what was wrong and how to approach rehab. Would 100% recommend him to anyone looking to get any general or climbing specific physiotherapy. Thanks Steve!!

I'd gone to several physical therapists around California for help treating a shoulder injury and climbing related bicep tendonitis without too much luck before I came to Steve. While the exercises and stretches I'd been previously prescribed helped, I never felt like other providers had gotten to the root of the problem and come up with a plan that would allow me to exercise pain-free and recover my strength.

Steve proved a much better choice - I felt he put in the time to understand and diagnose the root of my problems, and provide the appropriate exercises, as well as helping me to understand why a particular exercise was appropriate and how it would help (something I didn't get from others). I'm happy to say both injuries are vastly improved and I feel finally on the road to full recovery (or as close as I'll get given age and time haha). I can happily recommend Steve for all physical therapy needs, and his experience as a climber himself is very useful for meeting the needs of other climbers! 5 stars!

Steve was instumental in getting over a myriad of upper body issues and returning to climbing. When I started working with Steve my left shoulder and elbow were completely stopping me from climbing and I was unsucessful for about 9 months of working with another PT. Over the next 3 months using the plan Steve developed I was able to completely fix the elbow issue and make huge progress on the shoulder. Steve was incredibly helpful over the 6 months as I began to climb harder to keep me healthy through suggesting reintroduction plans and troubleshooting as smaller tweaks popped up. Now I'm climbing my hardest ever with little to no pain!

I’ve dealt with a series of injuries over the past decade, including multiple ACL tears and a labrum tear. Over the years, I’ve worked with several physical therapists, but Steve is by far the best. From day one, he took the time to understand my condition in detail, listening to my pain points, identifying compensating muscles, and adjusting my treatment plan as needed.

What stood out most was how hands-on and collaborative Steve was throughout the process. He didn’t just assign exercises; he worked with me to set clear, realistic goals and helped me achieve them in a structured way. His approach was methodical yet adaptable, always fine-tuning based on my progress.

Six months later, I’m running again—something I hadn’t done in over five years—and in better shape than I’ve been in a long time. I couldn’t have gotten here without Steve’s expertise and guidance. He helped me rebuild both my body and my confidence. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to recover from an injury.

I worked with Steve over several months to address a shoulder injury that wasn't healing. Not only did Steve's assessment totally predict what an MRI showed months later, but the combination of his hands-on manipulation and the progression of exercises he coached me through made a huge difference to my recovery and gave me knowledge and awareness that will help me re-injuring the shoulder. On top of the expertise, Steve is the friendliest, most easy-going person to work with.

Dr. Steve Kim is a wonderful physical therapist! After battling with cervical neck and shoulder impingement issues for a few years, including other rounds of physical therapy, Dr. Steve helped me build a regimen that has finally greatly eased my neck and shoulder pain and given me back neck mobility and strength. As a remote worker, the house visits are super convenient, Dr. Steve uses top notch scheduling and billing apps which produced easy-for-insurance invoices, and he does great body-work to boot. Always friendly, super sweet to our little dog, Dr. Steve's visits are a highlight of the week and my neck is always grateful! Thanks!
