The doctor is great!! However, finding someone to pick up the phone and make an appointment - good luck!!!! I had to go to the office both times I went there to get an appointment. I Called over a dozen of times before then and no one picked up or called back after leaving Voicemail. Their front deck employee sucks and has an attitude!!!

Dr. Jose Villagomez is an absolute disappointment, and I honestly don't understand how he became a doctor. His lack of bedside manner is shocking. I had to reschedule my appointment three times in one day because his receptionist kept pushing it back. My final appointment was at 4:20 PM, and once again, Dr. Villagomez failed to call me as promised. When I tried calling his office to follow up, my calls went straight to voicemail. This entire experience has been unprofessional and frustrating, and I find his practice unethical.

The doctor and especially the nurse practitioner are good. The staff is just horrible! They almost never answer the phone or return phone calls. Worst staff I've ever experienced. I am in the process of changing doctors. I spoke with the doctor and he assured me he is making changes and improvements but absolutely nothing has changed. He told me to send emails which weren't returned either. No wonder they have a 2.2 rating on Google. How are these people even employed?

Do they ever answer the damn phone? No. Good luck getting any information from these people. I can’t speak to the quality of the doctor though because I could never get an appointment that worked for me. They also make you pick up your lab orders and act as a courier for your own order….in 2023 where we have email.

It's really sad if this is the quality of medical care people are getting in this city. I am not quite sure what is happening at Dr. Villagomez's office but the patient care is honestly the last thing on their minds, especially the staff. 8 out of 10 times I call, no one picks up the phone and if I leave a message, no one returns my calls. I have to drive to their office to be able to get my questions answered! The front desk seems to be completely out of touch with what they are there for. Most of them seem to be miserable to even be there! I am glad I am healthy enough that I only need them occasionally for basic tests but my heart goes out to sick individuals who are stuck with this kind of care and have no other choice. Dr. Villagomez needs to reconsider how to manage his office and patient care. It's embarrassing! Time to move on to another medical office.
As you can see they don't even attend to their reviews on Google! They simply don't care!

Now I see why this Doctor has such POOR reviews! He actually seemed like a nice caring Doctor.... but its his lazy STAFF that never answer the phone.

They sent me to get blood tests at the airport (Im in Venice) and I get there to find my insurance (which they obviously have) is NOT accepted. Wasted 2 hours of my day. Then I had to call this
office again, and ask for a new bloodwork chart so I can be sent to the correct place. Now ONE week later, still NO new paperwork that I can take to get my blood tests. I can't even put off a smog test, and they want to put off my HEALTH! Really

I call again today, hold for 30 minutes.... finally "Maria L" (can't even give me her name) working today 8/3/22, 11:20am, tells me that they don't pick up the mail that often so it can take a while.... but "I will send it again" (as if she sent it the first time - Culver City to Venice cant take a week! She never sent it) and then has nerve to say "thats why I suggest patients come in to grab their paperwork" (which she never suggested... but the office already messed up ONCE, now I should come back?)
Is this girl getting paid? She tries to put the client to work!
They messed up, blood work should be taken seriously, and they should priority ship the paperwork! the Health industry seems to be the worst run business - starting with them making you wait on the phone, then wait in the office. What other SURVIVIING businesses treat people like this? NONE!

Very dissatisfied, disappointed and confused, I don’t understand why does the front desk doesn’t pick up any of my calls, DR ANGELES OR DR JOSE VILLAGOMEZ my grandma needs to change an appointment and your RUDE and not caring *at all* front desk employees aren’t doing it’s job on getting the calls, they just get paid to put people on hold, this is like my 20th call from multiple devices and they kept doing that. At this point my grandma needs to see Dr angeles on April 10th and I just want to change the appointment to the 11th, but since some people is not doing it’s job properly I guess I’m gonna request the change of the dates through here.
