As someone who was recently diagnosed with HEDS, I came to John with a host of physical and neurological issues, many stemming from cervical instability (vertigo, migraines, muscle spasms/pain) and nervous system disfunction (brain fog, fatigue, POTS). John is EXTREMELY knowledgeable on these fronts. I've been to physical therapists in the past, but they didn't fully understand my struggles and how everything I faced were connected. John did. Even just after the first week when he coached me through fundamental breathing/movement mechanisms, my pain and symptoms started decreasing. From there, I worked with John for ~5 more months, which were critical in my recovery. PT works. Working with John taught me effective ways to manage my chronic illness. He is also so friendly and bothered to know me on a personal level. He even let me bring my dog in! Now, I am back in the gym, lifting weights, enjoying movement, dancing, and running for fun. So grateful and blessed to have worked with him.

Dr. John is the best doctor I worked with throughout dealing with my injury. He is a great hang and extremely knowledgeable to the point that I was 100% confident in the rehab he prescribed for me. He got me back to climbing significantly faster than I expected after a severe ankle injury. He even opened up a line of communication for me to ask questions throughout the process, which made me feel cared for and not like just another patient.

Go see him, you won’t regret it.

I've attended multiple PT facilities due to prior injuries, and Dr. John Huang's practice is easily miles above all others I have been to. His knowledge of anatomy and how the body should move to prevent injury and maximize performance is vast.

I first came to Dr. John a few months ago with a lower back injury from squatting. Within the first session, he was able to identify the core issues that contributed to my injury. He gave me the first few exercises that I needed to get my body to adapt to functioning in a way that is more optimal and relieve the stress I was putting on my lower back. Over the next few months, we met a few more times and each session I learned more about how I can adapt my training to prevent injury and optimize performance. At other PT facilities, it is common for them to take a one-size-fit-all approach which led to me not seeing results and feeling frustrated. From the beginning, Dr. John was serious about understanding my goals, developing a plan to meet those goals, and ensuring that I'm well informed along the way.

I highly recommend Dr. John as he helped immensely with my fitness journey.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about John. He takes a very holistic approach to physical therapy and continues to work with you towards your goals even after your session is complete. He helped train my body to use and engage different muscles to alleviate the problem area pain. On top of being a great PT, John is a great person overall and I am happy to recommend him to everyone I know!

I was very relieved to find a physical therapist who is attuned to climbers. I have used physical therapy through my network, but they're not really set up to do sustained therapy. Also, even though clinically sound, my in network people had difficulty understanding the unique needs of our sport.

John was a game-changer. I saw significant progress in treating my injuries for the first time in years. It was totally worth it. John knows how to ask the right questions and then tailor a program specifically for you. When I felt stalled, he adjusted the program and the results were immediate. I can't really say enough. He is a superb clinician and an outstanding person.

John is the best PT I've ever had, and I will strongly recommend him to anyone dealing with sports injuries of any type. After 2 years of living an extremely sedentary life during the pandemic, I tried returning to rec sports 3-4 times a week, and ended up plagued by hamstring strains and pulls. These continued for 4 months while I saw other physical therapists. When I started seeing John, I was immediately impressed by his wholistic approach, and within 2 months I was back on the field feeling like my old self. Now it's 6 months later and I still haven't had any issues with my hamstring. John has also helped me see progress with mobility issues that I've dealt with for the last decade, and I truly believe that he can help me with any sports-related injury I may get in the future. Plus he's one of the coolest guys around and always has a dope playlist ready to share

John is the most thorough, skilled, and compassionate physical therapist I have ever worked with. The attentive one on one time he spent with me at each appointment left me feeling genuinely supported and cared for. He is deeply knowledgeable and patient, offering answers and ideas about all of my endless questions. John has an easy-going nature and is fun to engage with, which made the sessions a joy. What really set John apart were his bonus teachings about how mindset plays a large role in the healing experience. This information he shared transformed my surgical recovery by empowering me to work on my thoughts in addition to my physical injury. I also very much appreciated how John tailored each appointment to exactly how I was able to perform that day, encouraging me to push myself gently while also offering endless modifications until I found an approach that was comfortable. I always looked forward to trying new therapeutic exercises and pieces of equipment at my sessions, which made the appointments full and valuable rather than repetitive. I ended my time with John much more confident in how to work with my specific anatomy, respond to my pain, and exercise with proper alignment going forward. I highly recommend John to any person looking to improve their body function and performance!

First and foremost, Dr. John is amazing. He doesn't dismiss what you say, and having a lot of experiences with doctors in general, most of them are not able to give you the time of day. Dr. John is definitely the opposite and is here to ensure his clients are well taken care of.

I am a climber and love that he is as well because he really understands movement. I can tell him that I was repeating a boulder problem where I had to back step and hit the hold with a dead point move and he totally gets it.

I unfortunately sustained a shoulder injury from climbing and continued to climb on my injury even though it hurt (my fault). I let it heal throughout the pandemic but it wasn't getting better so I knew I had to get professional help. I had also sprained my wrist which was affecting my shoulder significantly. I knew I needed to see a professional and contacted Dr. John! It's so nice that he works out of my local climbing gym.

He educated me on the different muscles in my shoulder and gave me PT exercises for my shoulder and wrist. He uses a really cool app that shows you how-to videos and you are able to rate your pain/progress each day. No joke, within a week I felt a million times better. I went back for another appointment for another sprained ankle a few months later (he's a great guy to know when you are accident/injury prone). Being an athlete who can't perform due to injury is heartbreaking and I'm finally injury free now and Dr. John saved my shoulder.
