I had knee replacement surgery at Jefferson Hospital and it was an excellent experience. Everything was smooth from pre-op to post-op. Nurses were wonderful as well as physical therapy. The food was even good. Thank you all for making my stay a good one!

Had my baby here last year. The only thing I would give 5 stars to was my OB doctor and the PAs and 1 of my nurses. Otherwise the experience was awful. The first room we were in, the shower overflowed with sewage when we flushed the toilet one time. So we had to move rooms and the second one was so tiny that family couldn’t really visit. Then that night, Housekeeping was in the room next to mine at 11pm literally slamming furniture around the room and against the walls. My husband tried to ask her to please be quieter and she didn’t speak English so she didn’t understand. When we asked the charge nurse to talk to her, she said “she said she’ll be done soon” and it continued for another ~10 minutes. Stressful when you’re already not sleeping much.
The final day, my nurse took 4 hours to bring my pain medication from the time I originally called out for it. I was a C-section so by the time she got to me I was in terrible pain.
There was more, but these were the major things.
The best part is, I filled out the patient satisfaction survey and put my telephone number asking for a call and no one ever called to discuss, so clearly no one cares much 😊

My friend who had pneumonia was admitted to 5241 . I went to visit him while I was there Iwas shocked and appalled when I saw the filth in his room behind his door and the bathroom door and along the flooring. I don’t know if it was mold or a build up of neglect. This is unexceptionable. Yes I called the house keeping department but couldn’t get in touch with anyone. Reading other reviews of how this hospital is being operated I wonder if the CEO head of the hospital is aware.

Absolutely wonderful experience at Jefferson my first time here. I was on the cardiac unit for a couple of days. Every single person was nothing but nice and helpful. The food was good, and they always checked to see if I was ok. Grateful that AHN sent me here and they took my insurance.

It took literally a total of 30 minutes in and out of the emergency room at Jefferson Hospital. Rena was the intake person who was very kind and helpful. Liz was an awesome triage nurse she was very efficient and quick. We didn't have the insurance card and info, but still took my husband and treated him. This was a great team.

I am not sure this is the best place to leave this review. But I can’t say enough about my L&D experience here. From day 1 of walking into AHN woman’s associates, they actively decided on a pregnancy plan for me. I had to take medicine through my entire pregnancy and they immediately had a plan in place. I really appreciate their care throughout my pregnancy. They are super responsive on the app, anytime I had a question.

Labor and delivery was so amazing. The unit is very secure and I felt safe there for one. It was super nice and clean. The food was amazingly good for hospital food. The nurses were all amazing through my induction, explaining everything very clearly. When I first got there, there was a nurse that couldn’t get my IV in, and I wanted to let her know it was okay. In the end, I ended up having to have an emergency C section but the staff was incredible. The anesthesiologist was super amazing and explained everything. After 24 hours of labor, they got me back to surgery super fast. I can’t even explain how incredible everyone was. I wish I knew names of everyone. They also did an amazing job with my sutures and it’s healing super well. I got this medicine pack on site after, and I feel like it contributed to me healing so well. They also played my favorite music while we were in surgery and the nurses took a ton of picture and videos for us. The PA during my surgery was awesome and the lactation consultant Julie was also amazing. Dr Smith is an angel of course, and one of the best doctors I ever had. They also have a super special pediatrician on staff as well. My husband and I chuckle because we call him the baby whisperer. My son immediately had a lot of reflux and cried a lot. But the pediatrician always made him immediately calm. All of the nurses were knowledgeable. I wish I could remember names, I just know this was where I needed to be. And I appreciate the care I received.

I was admitted to Jefferson Hospital years ago because I wanted to give up on myself. The nurse was uncaring and wouldn’t listen to me. I told her off and I tried walking out of the hospital. I was restrained which could have been prevented if she had been more caring and listened to me. When I got one of my thin wrists out of the restraining straps a doctor told me, “You shouldn’t have done that,” with a smile and made my restraining straps tighter. The smug doctor later had a talk with me about how everyone needs help. I hate that nurse and that doctor after all these years. I hate that hospital. You left a lasting impression on me. You didn’t help me when I needed help. This hospital made me hate mental health workers and made me more misanthropic than I was before

I recently had a procedure done at Jefferson Hospital Surgery Center. Your Surgery Center (pre & post op) was the most efficient and organized Hospital I have ever been in. The Staff was caring and attentive. As anxious as the patient is before having a procedure completed the staff attends to their needs with warm blankets, and smiles. They even warm the disposable wash cloths! I can’t say what happened in the OR as I drifted away to dreamland while having my right knee arthroscopy. I live in Latrobe so it was a drive to get there to have THE BEST Surgeon do my procedure!
I Believe that when a Facility does a great job they should be given kudos! Please let ALL THOSE STAFF who worked on Friday March 28,2025 an
“Atta boy/girl”!!
