I have been a regular patient of Valerie Hunter and Hunter Family Acupuncture for close to five years. I find her knowledge and expertise in a variety of simple yet extremely effective acupuncture techniques to be growing steadily. Her homeopathic background enables her to be uniquely adept at determining not just the solution to my symptoms but identifying and treating the root cause which initiates the symptoms. I am a Vietnam Combat Veteran, with a delayed PTSD diagnosis after 40+ years thanks to our VA doing a wonderful job for 4 decades. In September 2010 I had a major meltdown landing me in the hands of the Mental Health Team @ Wilmington VA, where I am still treated. Progress in treatment did not start until after acupuncture began here in 2012. It was suggested, by physiologist, that I consider 24 sessions of treatment. While the physiologist had seen improvement I had not until about the fifteenth session when I began to realize the gains. Over the years besides treatment for the PTSD symptoms Valerie has treated me for conditions to include chronic sleep, VA induced stress, arthritis, pain management, and worked in conjunction my chiropractor on neck & low back, and as well with knee condition avoiding knee replacement. My family and friends are treated. Valerie does not only have the credentials of knowledge and experience but she is unique in her caring delivery of treatment. She's very professional and focuses on fixing your problems. I had relief after a couple of treatments and I continue to go back when needed. I recommend going to her for relief to almost any problem. She will help you with your problem and do her best to help relieve it.
