My mom is a current patient in for physical rehab. I give the treatment and staff a 5 start review! Physical and occupational therapist are wonderful. Their goal is patient Independence. The aids, nurses and staff all put the patient first. The administrators door is open and he is willing to talk. I am pleasantly surprised at how caring they are.

Mom's first day, she mentioned she needed a manicure. They have a manicurist! She was off, so one of the ladies did it for her! Today they did foot care, and tomorrow, for a small fee, she will get a shampoo and style.

Mom has been kept impecibly clean with daily baths and new clothing and linens.

We were allowed to bring her favorite things from home, including her soft blanket for a personal touch.

The furniture and bed are comfortable. She is assigned a wheelchair while she regains strength that only she uses.

This might be an older facility, but it's cleaned and maintained. Today, for frames were painted and yesterday, some tioilets were replaced. Staff is always smiling and thoughtful.

Downside? Sure. Ring the bell when you think you have to go to the bathroom and not at the last minute. They have other people to care for, but they do get there reasonably fast. That's really on us, tho, isn't it?

If you aren't pleased with the menu, they do have alternate choices. You are also welcome to bring food from home barring any restrictions your loved one has.

We appreciate the attention to detail from the top on down. Good job!

Mom recently stayed at a nearby facility and Havencrest has been better across the board.

During the year of covid I was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer at the age of 60. I had a 9 hour surgery in Morgantown where they removed a great deal of my insides and put two drains in my stomach. I had no clue what they were there for. After 12 days in the hospital where I was terribly sick, they transferred me to this terrible, miserable, disgusting, pathetic place to help me recuperate. Oh my God !!! When I first got there they put me in a room, closed the door, and left me on my own. I buzzed a hundred times for my medicines, assistance to go to the bathroom, water to drink, my two drains needed emptied, etc. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE CAME INTO MY ROOM FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER. I was there maybe two nights. There was a male nurse who was so very kind. He gave me my meds, emptied my drains, answered my questions, left my door open so that I wasn't so scared, etc. Thank you for being so kind whoever you were. The next day I had it. I called my daughter to come and get me. I was leaving AMA. My daughter called 911 and told them that I was being abused here. The police and paramedics showed up. The policeman said nothing. Holly, the paramedic, thought that she was some tough witch from hell. (Later, I was told that she was fired from Brownsville Ambulance for being worthless and rude). They called the doctor that was seeing me there and he said to let me go home. The ignorant, rude, lazy nurses made me sit in a wheelchair for 3 hours until my husband came to pick me up. Good riddance to the place from hell !!!!
While I was there, an elderly man in a wheelchair stopped at my door to chat with me. My heart broke for him as he was there for the duration.
A man from the state showed up and asked me all sorts of questions which I answered very truthfully. The only thing that the nurses and the aides did was talking and laughing at the end of the hallway. That is all they did. When I finally made it home the state visited me again. More questions and lots of truthful answers. I ripped that place apart.
A few weeks later, I figured things out. God had put me there to be a voice and an advocate for the poor people that were stuck there and forgotten about. Things changed for them after I used my voice.
If you love someone, DO NOT ever put them in this place from hell. It is like a prison.

I believe they are the worse rehab care home. They give patients their medicine not on time at breakfast and then at noon no matter what. Suppose to be given at night. Confronted the nurse he said that's how they do it. I wouldn't put my animals in that place.

Very poor care. My husband broke out in a terrible rash after the first night there. He was on a torn mattress. See through sheets. When I spoke up the RN on duty got very nasty with me. His second night after the mattress was changed he had to sleep on the bar of the bed. Once again a new mattress. He had a broken pelvic in 2 places. Never got feed the first night. Food was terrible. Nursing staff terrible. I stood in front of the nursing desk for over two minutes while 4 of them was on their phones texting and a nurse at the end of the counter was eatching them and did nothing. I finally spoke up and they all tried to throw my husbands care on each other. Not knowing who his nurse was. I snapped and the RN decided she better take care of me because I told them the next person they saw me with was my lawyer and someone from the board of health. That did nothing. Staff was not afraid of that at all. This place does not clean the rooms daily and his cath bag was put in a garbage can beside his bed which was used for his gatbage which they let over flow. I can go on about this place but not worth it. You all can get the ideal. Very Unprofessional staff and disgusting place to have to leave your love one.

My mother-in-law was just at Havencrest for a month of rehab after a fall and a subsequent hospital stay. The staff is excellent! Everyone from the business office, social worker, nurses, aides and PT was so kind to her and looked after her with a lot of care. The facility is very clean. She liked the food very much too, which was a bonus!

My aunt was there for just a few days, as her bed in the nursing home she wanted to go to wouldn't be ready for a few days. When discussing this with the nurse she got very defensive and major attitude about transferring her. The physical therapist also told her she will not be going anywhere. Needless to say, we had my aunt moved the next day. They had her crammed in a tiny room with three other patients. There was barely even room to turn around. There were gnats flying around, and when you approached the nurses station, they immediately looked annoyed. Lastly, they do not tell you how to exit the locked building, and in trying to get out we set off an alarm, which no one even came to see why it was going off. Do yourself a favor and do not put any of your family members in this place.

Manager never helps out and even other managers. I sware there are nats in the kitchen. People complain about the food there many of times not being cooked right. Not many options for food. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Some of the residence call for help and sometimes never get it. Floors are sticky everywhere. This place needs a whole other reset before I would be placing anyone I loved there. You ask for a manager and you never get a call back. My gram told me that the kitchen staff works hard but super under paid. She feels bad for the work staff, and nurse every day.

If i could give negative stars , I would. So far everybody i have come in contact with regarding my grandmother has been uncaring and less than satisfactory. When you call, they " take your information" and you wait and wait then hear NOTHING until you call back and they use the same excuse EVERYTIME "the phone isn't working". My grandmother is very ill, she has dementia and is terrified. She knows my mother and myself, that is it, how dare you not try , not even care? What if this was your loved one? WE ARE ALL SHE KNOWS!!! You people should be the change the world needs. I know that people get ill and pass, however you took this career because you were supposed to care enough to make their last moments or sickly moments as pleasant as can be. Not make them terrified and feel alone. whomever is working your front desk or phone calls is so uncaring and robotic. I PRAY NONE OF YOUR LOVED ONES END UP HERE. It was not our choice for her to end up here! Jefferson did this without our consent!
