horrible place, nothing therapeutic about it. no therapy or activities, just sit around miserable. food sucks. everything sucks. as others have said, the client advocate doesn't answer the phone. staff were mostly very kind (not Delvania) but that means almost nothing when they're so limited.

I was held against my will for 2½ weeks solely because they couldn't find a PHP in my area to release me to. I came out worse than I went in. the only "therapeutic" thing about Haven is that you'll want to pretend to be better to get out because it's so bad you just want to go home.

Horrible experience at this scary facility. The nurses and techs do not care whatsoever. The doctors see you for 1 minute. If you do not wish to try a new medication you are basically kicked out and discharged. People with different diagnoses are all together in one unit. The food was horrible. The facility is old and outdated. Avoid AT ALL COSTS.

Absolute horrible experience, pick ANY OTHER FACILITY!!! My ER sent me to this hospital for mental health treatment after becoming extremely ill and unable to eat or hold down water. When I arrived to this facility, the nurse forced me to try and eat snacks so I could take my meds. I immediately threw them up and got an attitude from the nurse. I have an unidentified health condition that flares up badly, I get chills, hot flashes, abdominal cramping and very bad body aches that are unbearable. When I asked to take a shower to relieve my symptoms, the nurse told me I had to wait for the other nurse to come back and decide. She came back from break and told me I already had a shower that day and I couldn’t use it as a coping skill. Meanwhile, a man my age came in with cannabinoid syndrome and was allowed to shower every 30 minutes and walk around with his shirt off. The staff had NO PROBLEM with that. The next day when the nurse practitioner saw me in the hallway, she told me she didn’t want to speak to me while I was crying and to find her later. Isn’t the whole point of a mental health facility to take care of you when you are having MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS This place is not here to help. My stay was early this past winter, and I have sworn up and down I will never return here, and have advised my ER to not send anyone here due to the inhumane treatment. Nurses loudly READ AN ARTICLE off of their computers about a patient that was also staying there with me at the time. I didn’t know any of her story or her trauma before hearing the nurses read the article. Very horrible stuff happened to this woman and they read it out loud at the nursing station. I also watched them ignore an elderly person who couldn’t walk at all. I understand it is not a nursing home, but get a grip before one of your nurses ends up in a body bad due to their poor negligence. You TAKE CARE OF PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS. STOP TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE SNAP. I’m so glad I got to witness a guy throwing the whole canister of water and ice across the nursing station. It’s what we all wanted to do 🙂

I like the techs and nurses that help me to recover. And teach me better coping skills and keep going in life, and the cleaning crew did great cleaning. And also Gloria in the heritage unit is funny. And Carly remember Gus . Batman raccoon. I had foxy Roxy with me at the time. I do recommend this place. It helped me and this hospital is very nice, caring respectful staff.

I overdosed on psychiatric medications on the 9th and was observed at penn state hospital for 24 hours medically before I was admitted into this hospital.

At first I had a rough start . I have borderline personality disorder which I tend to perceive situations that may not be happening if someone is using a tone , or I think they are racing there tone at me .
And I completely lost it .

I then calmed down and I turned it around and I did what I needed to do the 4 days I was there.
Some staff didn’t have the best manners .
And weren’t the nicest , and there were some staff that were just incredible !
Very nice !

Like Dayana, Corinne, Dina - Or Deena I think you spell her name ( I’m sorry l!)
I wasn’t the best remembering some of the names .
I stayed around near the nice staff when I talked to them !

The 72 hours flew by fast !
And some staff do genuinely care!
You just need to give them the benefit of the doubt.

If you do what you need to do and don’t be nasty or a hellian they will work with you !

Thank you haven staff for all you guys did to help me in this journey !
God bless

(This is not a therapeutic hospital . Just a crisis hospital .) which why was it is hard for those like me with bpd because you won’t get therapy for it but if you overdosed like me they are there to supervise you !

Our adult daughter was just discharged from Skyline today. Her needs are so complex and the Haven staff were absolutely wonderful supporting her through her journey. I could not have asked for a better team who went above and beyond on behalf of our daughter. A special shout out to her Social Worker, Holly, who worked endlessly to ensure that our daughter received the services she needed. Her communication with the family was excellent. Our daughter's mental health has improved and we will always be grateful to the Skyline staff for everything!!!

My brother is a patient here. My brother signed papers to release information to me. When I called to find out what meds he’s on the staff were rude and very hateful. Our healthcare system is broken. This place with the Tower staff needs a new management and staff members with the behaviors I have witness . They are not willing to call the family back with important medical details regarding what has been told to them regarding the dangerous medications they have my brother on . I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. They also say the doctors or the caseworkers do not make calls back regarding their patients. This is wrong. If anything happens to my brother I will sue this facility and I will win. All of this is being documented and recorded. If you have a family member and you are being treated this way. Please speak up. We can’t allow this to go on with this facility. Thanks for listening.
