I like Dr Guistwite and the office staff. You will have long wait times when you go in for an appointment so make sure you schedule a large block of time when you plan to go in. Dr takes time to listen to you and ask questions, so that kinda makes up for the long wait. The downside (other than the long wait), limited hours, I haven't been able to leave a message for staff whenever they're unable to answer the phone, no online portal, and the office staff informed me that they don't respond to refill requests from your pharmacy. You have to call office yourself to let them know when you're needing refills.

This was my worst doctor appointment experience EVER. My appointment was for 2:00 got here at 1:35 to fill out paperwork because I was a new patient... it's now 2:50 and I have yet to be seen or updated on when I will go back. This place is literally a house with ONE doctor. Do not go here. Go somewhere else. Save yourself some time.

Looking up Dr Guistwite's phone number yesterday, I was pretty floored by the June 20 review (rant?) listed here, because this has not been my experience whatsoever.

Let me preface this review by saying that I have lived in the area for 30 years and growing up, I had a lot of health problems, which meant a lot of visits to doctors from D.C. to Pittsburgh and everywhere in between. Dr Guistwite is, hands-down, one of the best practitioners I have seen.

I started seeing Dr Guistwite in 2009 and continue to see him as my PCP even though I now live in Chambersburg and have to make the long drive when I am sick. His care, and the care of the doctors he partners with is worth the time and effort.

Dr Guistwite's staff are always incredibly accommodating, his approach is very measured and effective, and what other doctor has ever given you his direct contact info so that you can follow up after-hours if an emergency arises? My wife is a type 1 diabetic, which means she has also seen a boatload of doctors in her 16 years with the disease; her first choice is Dr. Guistwite as well.

In short, I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Guistwite to others and my experience dealing with his practice has always been pleasurable.
