BOTCHED WORK, NO CALL BACK, ANNUAL FEES, DISHONEST, AVOID

I came in for work to close a gap between two teeth and now I have pain every time I eat.

Horrible experience from the start. The Corona office appointment was at 4pm and they gave me the numbing injection then I sat there until 6pm. They had one dentist working multiple rooms at the same time which I don’t mind except I had to keep asking when are you going to start the actual work?

During the procedure I felt a sharp pain in my tooth (thought I wasn’t supposed to feel it?) and gave it some days after to see if it would subside. It never went away and still hurts now when I eat.

When I called the dentist had moved to the Riverside clinic which in my opinion is an absolute disgrace. Nancy who I had never met before looked me dead in the eye and first told me I wasn’t in pain, then said it was from before the procedure, then said maybe my tooth rotated. Can’t make this stuff up.

The dentist who performed on me took one look at it and said sorry she probably overlooked it on the day (too many patients at once perhaps) and forgot to put some kind of sensitivity sealant on but will fix it for me next week.

I made the appointment to fix it at 1.30pm and kept getting texts saying it was at 2pm so I called at 1.20pm to see what the story was and couldn’t get through. When that happens you get a switchboard at head office and they also couldn’t get through so I made a mistake and came in at 2.20pm. They told me to take a seat, but for some reason my dentist took the next person (2.30pm) who arrived after me and they told me it was now a 4h wait.

I asked who was in charge and it was Nancy. Great. I said how can you take the next patient when they arrived after me, I paid in full including their strange annual membership fee and she again looked me dead in the eye and said no I paid the Corona office not Riverside.

I called the Corona office and asked for a full refund for botched work and unhelpful and dishonest staff. They said I’d get a call in 2 days. I waited 3, no call. Called back, another 2 day wait, I waited 4, no call. I called again they said tomorrow, guaranteed, from the regional manager.

That’s today, they are closed now. No call. Still in pain. Down $850. To her credit Alyssa from Corona was understanding although you wonder how much she actually did to get me a resolution when I’ve had to call back 4 times and visit twice in person and still nothing.

How does a business like this survive? Avoid at all costs.

Before making the appointment early this morning they asked for my insurance information, I told them I have Medical, they schedule me at their Corona office at 12:00 pm. I drove out here from Anaheim Hills . The front desk asked for my ID and insurance information. She said that they don’t take Medical, I explained to her that the person who scheduled the appointment said they did and made the appointment. This is clearly bad customer service. Making me drive out to a scheduled appointment, in which they called me to schedule and knowing the type of insurance I have. They wasted my Sunday morning 🤬 .

BUYER BEWARE!!!
I had a nightmare of an experience with both the Corona & Riverside offices. The manger at the Corona location did not explain options for services that could be rendered in accord with my insurance plan coverages & options that would not put me in the poor house, yet still offer quality work. She pushed the in house credit program extensively hard, over & over again while stating that I needed x-rays that I had already taken by another provider. I even brought them in for viewing on a "drive", but they declined to view them & stated that I would not charged for them but guess what...I was! I needed 2 extractions, due to the negligence of my previous dentist, a medium grade cleaning & a bridge. After the constant pushing, I decided to apply for the credit after she stated that it would be a "soft inquiry". I started with just an extraction & during the course of the treatment the doctor was extremely rough with her techniques & treatment! Her arm rested on my face & I was sprayed with water on my face! I had given them the formula that a previous Endodontist had used that worked quite well for me because I am sensitive to drugs & anesthetics. I asked them to respect my concerns & use the same formula, but they did not & I noticed & brought my concerns to their attention that my eye & mouth had became droopy sometime during the procedure & stayed that way for several hours also my jaw was in major pain for two weeks! The reply was "oh that will go away, nothing to worry about"...really!! I was devastated & afraid as this side effect hah never occurred before! Also, the temporary crown that was put in fell out before I could get to my car in the parking lot to leave, I had to go back in to get it reinserted. To top it off, I requested prior to services, copies of all documents so that I could review them. I was told that they were not physically avalible & that they would be ordered for me as well as the finance papers...what! I was not given the opportunity to read or approve anything, nor had I agreed to the financing yet, but come to fine out the office manager took it upon herself to digitally sign me name & preselect the terms which came with an additional wopping $2000.00 in additional interest fees for a bill in excess of $7000.00 & my treatment was just getting started! I didn't find this out until I spoke to the credit company who had to send me the paperwork. I was furious! I spoke to the manager about it & she did nothing, was very rude & unprofessional. Obviously I was not her first victim. I decided to go to another office within the group & my son & I went to Riverside. Not only did the Corona office manager create a nightmare of a situation for me, she boldly went on to request full payment of the total credit from the finance company, as if the work I was contemplating had been completed in full! When I went over to the Riverside office they claimed they had no idea of what the Corona manager had done.
Long story short, there have been ongoing issues with the temporary crown not even staying put for a day or two, not sure what products they are using, even the Riverside doctor stated that the temporary that Corona office made was "poor quality". At 1st I hoped that Riverside would be better, but unfortunately it isn't; there temporary crowns are just as bad I have them in a case, like souvenirs! The dental tech was great. She was very through, listen & understood my concerns & was accommodating & supportive. So thank you, you know who you are. My son was also seen by Riverside for the cleaning the manager tried to push the credit on him as well & say his service was going to be $2500.00 for a medium cleaning. We disputed the amount & because he wasn't paying the way they needed the price was adjusted & the same service went down to $500.00...hum! Also we have dental insurance so they were using all angles. These issues are still a work in progress. I have yet to receive a call from upper management & I sent emails to the CEO & two other persons with the company.

I had the worst experience. They were helpful and nice until I signed the contract to get braces and then I got scammed because suddenly the ortho was hardly there when I had an appointment. Don’t waste your money or time. Very frustrated and unhappy with my teeth that were damaged by this Orthodontist.

I went to this Dental Office in an emergency as I had bad tooth pain for days and I just wanted them to take pain away. I was planning on extracting the tooth but after talking to them they explained the best thing to do in detail and it made perfect sense. They have amazing staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices is not expensive and the best part of all…they didn’t hurt me and they removed my pain. This will be my new permanent office. Thank you Gold Coast Dental for helping me and for being amazing to me!!! I highly recommend this office!

I moved to riverside and needed an emergency dentist on a Sunday afternoon, they were open so I came in. I loved the energy of all the workers. I came back to do treatment with them and they’re amazing. All the employees are great and truly kind and helpful, especially Nati, the receptionist. Fair payments, and they have many ways to help you out. I have made this my go to dentist.
