When they cancel appointments without telling you... and then refuse to give you a doctors note for you child missing school because they didn't see a doctor. Now they have an unexcused absence. Unacceptable.

I am finding a new place to be seen! Doctors do not stay!
In just about a year and a half I have had to reestablish care 3 times! And they just called me today to do it a fourth time and won't refill my scripts until I do. FOUR TIMES in under 2 years, are you kidding? And on top of that I have had them cancel appointments and not been notified only to show up. The issues I've had since I started going there have practically been in limbo and unresolved.
I'm done, enough is enough, I'm leaving this practice, this place is a mess with staff.
Even my children's doctor left this practice a few months ago

The doctors are nice enough but I've had too many negative experiences with their failure to follow-up on matters. For example, I recently called post-appointment with an important question about flying a few days after a diagnosis of an ear infection and perforated ear drum (for my son). Three times, I discussed my concerns with a nurse on the phone but no one ever called back. On the third call, the nurse agreed that sounded very concerning and she said she would flag the question as critical to get a response right away. But I still never received a call back. We cancelled the flight and drove, with no input from the doctor. The doctor also asked no questions during the visit that might have been pertinent to follow-up care.

Hi I myself go here my son and my hubby and my mom. Many nurses knew we all are family and many was very very upset when had to inform them of my mom death. Showed me such love and compassion this nurses have.
Doctors are different
One female Dr I had , LOVED HER she listened and took every thing I said seriously but after having kids and life she left geisinger WITHOUT ME KNOWING NO LETTER NO NOTHING INFORMING ME new Dr make male (not using names for privacy) and that Dr didn't read my medical history and told me to take medicine that puts me in kidney failure as an reaction to that medicine.If i didn't review over him I would of been in hospital with again kidney failure. So left that Dr to me one, one where see me and my son as patients. Well he nice but I feel like don't hear me and kinda like whatever attitude- that is my take on Dr at geisinger but call returning and faz etc that needs improvement. Example my kid psychologist dr several appts had and told can't go do further bc still haven't gotten any paper work from certain places yet those places shown me confirmation of receivement and I get told they nothing .. so i had to collect paper work from all different places, copy them all and take the 1hr15 min drive to his psychological Dr to hand deliver so my son can get the right help.
So yes they need to get better with communication with patients and geisinger staff n medical staff bc we depending on their education and ❤️.

I had a new patient visit with Dr. Watterson. I had not been to the Dr. in quite a few years. He was kind, was not rushed, and took the time to listen to me babble. I was nervous and don’t love going to the doctor. I was able to get my labs done right after the visit and schedule a mammogram. Everyone in the office was nice and courteous.

Today on 4/29/24 I had one of Dr. Hossians staff members call me back regarding my medication and appointment she was rude and very unprofessional and needs training on how to talk to people it’s sad she clearly wasn’t raised right or never had a real job that’s probably why she is a phone operator and has no idea what she is doing or how to speak to people the doctor is unprofessional too because to have a person like that working for you horrible! it took longer than a week to get back to me the patient Geisinger you suck so does that entire office you all look like there is something in the water stop drinking it uggggh DO BETTER!!!!!!!!

Have had appointments cancelled/rescheduled a couple times by my general health doctor. Prescriptions can be unnecessarily difficult to fill. The staff and doctors are genuinely nice, but the other inconsistencies bring my rating for this company down a lot.

My youngest has been going through some medical problems recently and these people have been phenomenal. They make each visit fun and caring for him. They have went above and beyond for him and he loves them all dearly. No better place to bring your littles!
