This dental practice is not honest and they do not want to make their patients happy. Do yourself a favor and go to any other dentist in my horeb - unless you like being treated poorly and paying more than you should have to.

Long story:
Had questions on a forward balance that went unanswered, a year later we get a letter threatening to send the account to collections. I spent several months trying to get in contact with the office manager, when I finally got an explanation they were rude, the billing manager sounded very uninformed, and ultimately they did nothing to help with my concerns except continue pushing for payment.

Just so when Shawn Bollig (the rude and unprofessional business manager) reads this, I want to get ahead of her response. The question was why we had a balance when my wife had to prepay for every service out of pocket IN FULL (we did not pay just the insured portion that they claimed on another review below) and then insurance reimbursed us. The explanation I was given was that the amount they billed was an estimate for what insurance would cover and they are not contracted with the insurance - as a result we were left with a self pay balance. Considering we paid the full amount out of pocket first, and Insurance paid me back for the out of pocket expense up to what they would cover, that explanation does not make sense. We always pay our balance in full when checking out - additionally we knew we had met our insurance deductible and insurance wouldn’t cover anything, so why would we not pay the balance in full (which is what we thought we were doing). When I pressed Shawn on this she was rude and ultimately couldn’t explain things in any way. Do not go here, read the other 1 star reviews.

Dr Christian, hire a better business manager.

I had a terrible experience with this dentist. He charged me much more than he led me to believe, botched the procedure and was abusive to his assistant. Beware of this dentist, he is most skilled at extracting money from senior citizens.

AWFUL! Be warned, they LIE! I was told they accept Delta Dental ins, and they don't! I never would have made the appointment if I knew this was going to be out of network. Then, Russ (DDS - ha! he's a thief) wanted to explain how insurance works: The more you pay us, the more your insurance will pay you. If you pay us now upfront then the insurance company will pay you more.
Um.?!? What? Buddy, that's not how insurance works. Delta Dental will only pay x amount for out of network services. They don't pay based of what I pay to the provider. How does he not know this?!?
I told them I will pay for in network services once Delta Dental sends me a check. They sent me a bill for $420. I sent it back with a red note, Send me a corrected bill for $240 and I will pay this. No more calls, no follow up, no new bill. Fast forward months later, they send me to collections.
I called Russ today and when I said he lied, he just stated "We do accept Delta Dental." BUT YOU'RE OUT OF NETWORK! "Yes, we are, but we still accept it." Such a smug, condescending, jerk!
I HATE to give them even one star!

GET YOUR SMILE BACK! I have visited and planned with MANY dentists over my 40 years. With limited success. Dr. Christian has impressed me to no end. I went from teeth that I was afraid were going to break. Six of which that I feel could have gone at any time. To some brand new milled porcelain. In 2 major visits. I find the good doctor to be an advanced dental technologist. As well as a very strong hands-on teacher to his less experienced staff. If I was in dentistry instead of IT. I would consider myself lucky to learn from him. Top tech and top skill!

Dr. Christian is by far the best dentist you will ever find. He has an immaculate attention to detail and always knows what is best for the patient. I have on multiple occasions had dental emergencies and Family Dental has always got me in to resolve the issue on the same day. Dr. Christian is a very high tech dentist, and has the ability to mill crowns for you on the spot. It is very nice having a one stop shop to go to and get a root canal, a post, and a crown all done in one painless visit. l would rate him 10 stars if it would let me!

My family started seeing Dr. Christian a year ago and our experience has been above and beyond that of our previous two dentists. He combines the use of new technology, along with the personal touch of an experienced dentist. He found some issues that were unnoticed by my last dentist, fixed them right away, and explained the technology he can use to spot problems very early going forward. I'd highly recommend Family Dental Care.

Highly recommend! They are always able to get me in if I break a tooth or have mouth pain (I have genetically terrible teeth so this has happened multiple times) and are always pleasant and professional. They also try to save me money any time they are able to. They have great technology so they have the ability to make and put on a permanent crown same day, so I never have to make an extra trip! Everyone there is great to work with!
