Dr Hung is incredibly professional, efficient, kind, and sweet; the latter two, a bonus! Unfortunately, I am dealing with a second finger issue, but I am 100% confident in her! She fit me into her extremely busy schedule and gave me care as if I were her only patient. Highly, highly recommended!

Hold on to your wallet, these people will extract as much $$$$$$$ as they possibly can out of each interaction. A knee brace that is available new on line for $180 was marked up to $1100 billed to the insurance company and being early in the year the patent is responsible for over $600 out of pocket. Nice profit margin.

This is just one example as there are many others from our experience. It is medical providers like this that give the entire industry a bad name for overcharging and Kathy in the billing dept is no help, her entire argument is your insurance company negotiated this and you pay up, which on the surface is correct but the patent has no control over any of this, only the providers and insurance companies do and we are just along for the ride. Smart providers with highly paid financial consultants taking advantage of this fact are the problem why medical costs are out of hand and unaffordable.

My advice, shop around for a provider that has a heart and can help you with the costs, not one that milks you for every single penny they can get.

I had seen Dr. Taylor Horst back in November 2024 because I had a work injury the month prior. This appointment was rushed, I was dismissed of certain symptoms and was treated unfairly. The first red flag I noticed was when I was explaining my situation to the dr his demeanor changed rapidly. I came to realize I don’t think anyone looked at my very detailed sheet I filled out specifically for them. Secondly, when I mentioned that because of my line of work I was experiencing some significant swelling/pain. He said “you’re only 22 everyone works with their hands”… this comment just proved how dismissive and unprofessional he is. Yes I am 22, but my age has nothing to do with this at all! I was shocked so I asked him if what he’s telling me is that there’s nothing wrong with me and the symptoms I’m experiencing is normal. He responded by saying that hands swell, it happens to everyone and shrugged it off. Eventually when it got to the end of my appointment he just slapped a wrap bandage on my thumb and said I could continue working. Needless to say I felt humiliated and cried after my appointment. When I got home later that day I followed his orders, like HE said I should be able to use my hand like normal and guess what? I was in undeniable pain.
The only reason I took this long to write this review was because after this appointment I immediately switched orthopedics and they found answers! If it weren’t for me trusting my gut, I would have potentially made my pain and injuries worse.
At the new orthopedic office they took my seriously and come to find out I have carpal tunnel syndrome, a pinched nerve and fluid in my wrist. Since Nov. 2024 I had to get an MRI, EMG nerve tests, take steroids pills and now see an occupational therapist🙂
Now what lesson did I learn from this? I have come to find out that not all doctors are your cup of tea and sometimes that’s okay, but one thing I will not tolerate is medical gaslighting. We’re all adults here, act accordingly and do better. If this isn’t a sign to advocate for yourself I don’t know what is.

Wonderful care. The staff - Angela, Lisa, Sydney and Dr Connors - were wonderful. The X-ray technician, Jane, was not. Barely said hello, dismissive of questions and irritable.

A 5 star review except for her. Unfortunately, one miserable person can taint an otherwise positive experience.

Dr. Hung has been exceptional. Great “bed side manner”. Explained procedure and answered any/all questions. Surgery outcome continues to improve. Looking forward to having 2nd carpal tunnel surgery - other hand.

Dr Czarnecki was good, ACL surgery was a success and recovered well. Front office was good too. Only issue I had was that there were several times I had to wait almost an hour past scheduled appointment. I have things to do and it was frustrating those times.

I was made to wait over an hour for an appointment that was scheduled for 9:50 AM. This excessive delay shows a lack of respect for my time and points to serious issues with scheduling and practice management. When a patient is late, they are typically charged a fee, yet there is no accountability or compensation when the delay is on the practice's side.

Furthermore, the lack of basic professional courtesy to call or text me to inform me that the clinic was running significantly behind schedule is unacceptable.

Beyond the scheduling issue, I have the following concerns:
-Helow App: The patient portal/app is essentially useless for managing medications, as there is no clear or functional way to modify prescriptions or dosage information.
-Basic Logistics: I was also surprised to hear that the door was locked at 7:55 for an 8:00 AM appointment, suggesting the staff were unprepared to begin the workday on time.

I showed up at 7:45am for an appointment at 8am. Left at 8:20 after waiting and not being seen!

If your practice cannot manage basic logistics like scheduling appointments realistically, communicating delays, and unlocking the doors, it raises serious questions about the level of preparedness to handle the complexities of patient health.

I request an explanation for the excessive delay and information on what steps will be taken to improve these critical issues immediately.

First time visiting Excel Orthopedics - front desk was very helpful and efficient. I saw Dr Connor’s and his PA, Emilia. Both very down to earth and knowledgeable. My husband is a patient and spoke very highly of Dr Connors, so when I had an issue with my knee, that’s who I wanted to see. I also work for a Visiting Nurse & he refers his patients…they all speak well of him and have a great recovery!
Definitely would recommend!

Michael Stempek from Excel Orthopedics excells at his job. Speaking with you about your issues and suggesting the best course of treatment makes you leave with a full sense of confidence that you have chosen the right doctor. If you have issues in his specialty I recommend him highly.

Dr. Spenard and Dr. Fehm are the best! I have been going to Excel since 2018 and have had 2 total hip replacements. Now they treat my knee which has improved significantly due to their care and expertise. Never a bad experience, only positive treatment and successful outcomes!
