Unit 2 nursing and aides were amazing with care. All doctors and therapists were accommodating, quick with care, and I could tell they cared for me as a patient on my recovery journey. The physical therapists and especially Jane were encouraging and pushed me to my limits to get me in the right direction. After discharge I had questions about my after care and when reaching out to Encompass they gave quick turnaround time on responses. I would recommend highly to anyone needing therapy and nursing care.

We thought this was a good fit for my mom after suffering a major stroke on Christmas day 2024. It wasn't, they treat you like a number, not a person. They lied and said she had another stroke and sent her to the er because they knew I was going to appeal her discharge. They care about nobody. I can't say enough great things about Kristen, Diane, Shay, Kelly, and Ursula. They were amazing! But honestly please don't send your loved ones here. They don't care. My mom is in another rehab now and is progressing, she's speaking and getting her stroke side working. The place she's at now is amazing! Encompass is awful,.especially the case managers. They're supposed to help you, yet they have no clue what they're doing. Stay far away!

I was at this location 2 times beginning nearly 3 years ago after suffering from a stroke and other health related issues. Encompass Harmer worked me to very of my being to get me to where I could walk and gain mobility in my right arm and hand again. Today I'm able to walk with a cane eat, dress myself. Cooking, and showering with assistance from family. The staff at Encompass were wonderful . GOD Bless For The Work They Do!!

Since Encompass offers the best rehab in the Pittsburgh area, I did not learn about it from upmc. I remembered it from previous experience and called them to ask if I could come back. I thought it took them a long time to answer when I called for help but the rehab that I got there was superb.

The OT ,Speech Therapist and Physical Therapy Teams are Beautiful but
Most of the nursing staff I wouldn’t leave a wounded puppy with them
Someone needs to come see me so we can talk about this, this ain’t right!

Everything is amazing about this facility! The care is top notch, the nurses are so patient and caring. The food is also so good. Special shout outs to Tammy from PT, Michelle from OT, Louise ( nurse)and last but not least Georgette. Georgette has been and continues to be such a big part of my recovery process and I will never forget everything she has done for me. Thank you so much encompass.

Encompass it's absolutely the best place to recuperate from illness and surgery. Some hospitals try to tell you that you can't go there for some reason. As long as you have Medicare you are eligible. They have been a lifesaver for me six times.

My son was 31 years old when he suffered a massive stroke. After a 54 day stay in the hospital, he was transferred to Encompass Rehabilitation in Harmarville. The entire staff was absolutely amazing! They took excellent care of my son. I couldn’t have asked for better treatment for my son. The therapists, nurses, and everyone I met were the very best. Thank you for treating my son like royalty!!!
