I recently spent two weeks at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital after suffering multiple compression fractures in my lumbar spine. I was unable to walk due to excruciating pain and numbness in my right leg. From the moment I arrived, I was met with the most compassionate and dedicated team of professionals I could have hoped for.

The physical therapists were not only highly skilled but also incredibly positive, personable, and kind. They truly made each day enjoyable, guiding me through my recovery while also incorporating fun group classes, crafts, and light physical movements to keep spirits high. I always looked forward to seeing them, and their encouragement made a world of difference in my recovery.

The nurses, dietary staff, and everyone I encountered at Encompass went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well cared for. The meals were excellent, and I always felt that my well-being was their top priority. It was clear that every single staff member took the time to treat each patient with respect and genuine kindness.

Thanks to the comprehensive and patient-centered care I received, I learned how to move safely and manage my pain, and I was able to walk again. I am forever grateful for the way they helped me through such a difficult time with compassion, understanding, and an abundance of sweet kindness.

The level of care at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital is unmatched. It truly is a place where every person, from the therapists to the administrative staff, makes you feel valued. There couldn’t possibly be a better place to heal. I will always hold this experience close to my heart, and I am beyond thankful for the positive impact they’ve had on my life.

Everyone is so helpful. If I rang for them I got immediate help. They always appeared happy to respond and like they loved their job. From the therapist, nurses, food service, cleaning staff, aids, every single person was such a professional. The PT/OT was so knowledgeable. I felt like everyone there git to know me and really cared about me. The food was great. Rooms were kept really clean. I would recommend Encompass to everyone

My 90 year old mother left Washington Regional after 17 days post surgery to go to Encompass Health for a “short stay” so that I could get her home ready and set up hospice. Her wish was to go home and die. She wasn’t eating or drinking. She was done. Within 24 hours at Encompass she was fighting again!! These people are a miracle of love and compassion. Think of that one person in your life that really cares. This place is full of them down to the folks that clean the rooms. I’ve never experienced a place and group of people like this one. If I could give them a hundred stars I would. Mom is home again and progressing, even thriving. We are blessed.

My husband had a brain bleed on Nov 5th of 2021, which left his right side paralyzed. He spent several weeks in the hospital and rehab. We worked with home health and he made good progress...the he contracted encephalitis...this set him back to square one. So we started again, after one year post stroke the consensus was that wheelchair life was here to stay.

Fast forward to now, after hearing Dr German speak about Encompass on a radio show, Jerrall decided we needed to learn more. We did our research and spoke with our doctors and determined this was a wonderful option. The goal was to walk again. Reality is harsh but we didn't expect miracles...and knew walking would include assistance but you gotta start somewhere...so we started at Encompass.

I have attached a couple of pictures of Jerrall walking...and we are just elated!! The care and encouragement that he received at Encompass was awesome. We knew we were reaching for the stars but our team of therapists reached for them with us. Not only did he walk, he regained his voice, which was lost to do the stroke...and some feeling in his face!! Our PT, Jeanine, OT, Jonathan and SLP (I only met her once, I think it was Kaylee? yikes) were the best!!! Also, the nurses, techs, etc...this place was so loving and kind. Jerrall even suffered a small TIA while there, they were right on it, getting him over to WRH ASAP...spent the night and was back at it the next day!

I just can't say enough. If you need a rehab for yourself or your family member, this is the place to be!!!

All staff that I met were very nice,friendly, supportive, and courteous. Staff nurses were knowledgeable. Non-licensed staff were as above as well as knowledgeable to their level of duties. OT & PT staff only want to help patients get better. I enjoyed staff. Allowing spouse to spend time with me was gratifying.

After having a motorcycle accident, I was sent to Encompass Rehab Hospital late at night.
I was an invalid when I got there. I could do nothing for myself. I was greeted the next morning by my earth angel, Taylor. She was my OT and she was wonderful and she told me everything I had was fixable and she was gonna get me out of that bed.
Then I went to the gym and met my PT, Anthony. Another earth angel. He had such a good sense of humor and a love for his job. I felt like the luckiest patient to have two people that cared for me and wanted to make sure I got better.
Then I met Mike, my nurse. Another earth angel. I always loved it when he had me as a patient. I could tell Mike loves his job.
I cannot say enuf nice things about Encompass Rehab. I have no complaints. I was there for 16-17 days and all the nurses, nurse techs, cleaning ladies, cafeteria workers, HR, my case manager, and everyone , even my roommates were all the best.
They got me being independent and able to take care of myself in no time. It's going to be a long process before I'm walking again but because of all the wonderful people at Encompass Rehab I know I can do it. A million thank yous to all the people at Encompass!

Very apprehensive going in not knowing what was expected or anticipated. Within the first few days I came to realize the Therapy team you have is at the top of their game. Anthony and Taylor are nothing but caring and dedicated to their profession. Being told I probably would not walk again was not in their preview. Everything they did was to rework my muscles, tendons and nerves to wake them up and start their healing to prepare me to get up and walk. Encouraging me to work hard and not give up zI did stand and then walk, with assistance. Praise God and your dedicated team. I will always know it was through their passion that it is very probable I will learn to walk again putting in the effort that was instilled in me to try harder. Still have obstacles to overcome but only the future will dictate my outcome. Thank you very much and may your team be as dedicated to others as for me. I would give your facility a resounding 10.... My mother had a left sided brain stroke leaving her not able to swallow, speak or write. By the time she had completed therapy with Encompass physical, occupational, and speech therapists, she was able to learn again to swallow, say several words, brush her teeth, and mostly dress herself. This rehab has lots of friendly encouraging people who love their job and want to help the patient's as much as possible.
