The gentleman conducting the memory floor activities is amazing. Super high positive energy and always supplying humor as part of his leadership! Third floor is always clean on weekdays. The nurse practitioner is very competent. Place is being remodeled. I am not sure you could do better for a facility that excepts Medicaid patients.

My mother in law stayed at the Wyoming Valley location for 2 months and passed away there. First, her watch went "missing" and after complaining to staff, it was mysteriously "found" in the laundry. She passed last Sunday and 4 days later, now her clock was "lost" and no one could find it when we picked up her other belongings. We intended to give the clock to someone who needs it. Someone obviously took it off the wall and we were not pleased it was missing.Beware of your loved ones valuables!

What else is new neglect city. Lazy inept group of pond scum humans no intelligence. The whole region is filled with these type of people I guess it all the coal dust in the water but the staff needs personal care mentally cuz they basically glorified Walmart employees specifically the retarded one at the front who welcomes you in, the only work they do.

I agree with the posts. Management tells you what you want to hear. Elaine and several others doesn't follow up with anything. This place is dirty and very Short Staffed. Everytime I visit my loved one, I'm actually working. I'm changing briefs, linens, and washing my loved one up. Even If there is a scheduled shower, the little staff they have does not adhere to it. My loved one says they haven't had a shower in months. We have addressed this, but again, Management doesnt care. Plus Alot of residents, including my loved one say the food is disgusting. My family and I are constantly bringing our loved one home cooked meals.I feel sorry for the people that are here. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND this place at all. THANKFULLY my loved one will be transferring from here any day now!

Was so excited for this opportunity for us to get the chance to have some extra time for ourselves and a safe and fun place to be able to enjoy some more personal time. However I had nobody else in the area if any emergencies arise and not all that fond of the location can't express about the steff and hair dresser exceptional staff. At least most a far as I have seen so far. I guess there is always a point where you can take the good with the bad and hope the best for them.

I'm more than ashamed to say I worked in such an unprofessional, dirty, job. I would not recommend any one to the Gardens of Wyoming Valley resident or staff wise. 90% of staff that lingers have no quality of care to the residents. You're loved ones are not consistently being bathed, washed, or taken care of like a human being should. They may have new clothes, but 90% unless your alert and oriented are not being helped. It is not frowned upon to be a nurse on drugs rolling on the floor pretending to pass medication, or the early smell of alcohol off your. Coworkers breathe. All down to the needles you will find hidden in employee spaces. I have seen it all. And if that does not stop you from wanting to stay at the Gardens the bed bugs might as they squirm threw the whole facility. I worked for several months there and once again they can not even accept new residents. This place should be shut down. It tore me to leave the residents knowing they will not be taken Care of as they fired me because I was sick and could not do my job that day and they refused to let me go home. Which may I add I never get sick, but damn did that place have all kinds of different things! So enter at your own risk.

The process of getting my grandmother into the facility was easy and the admission director Emily went above and beyond to get the information to get her assistance and fix the insurance problems I was having. Excellent care and compassion. Always kept me informed and made me part of the team.

I started at Wyoming Valley a little over a year ago. We really have a great team there! Everyone goes above and beyond for our residents and their families. I also love that they support and encourage their employees professional growth.… I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. After 23 years of working in Skilled Nursing Homes; I am proud to call Wyoming Valley my second home!
