Absolutely amazing care! My 7 year old son had some work that needed to be done and after frustration with prior dental facilities not explaining the steps clearly, Dr. Matt walked me through the necessary steps and certainly eased my mind as a mom. He and the staff were great with my son and myself. We will definitely continue using discovery dental going forward!

My 7yo niece likes everything about Discovery Dental. The cleanings for her are painless. The hygienists take extra care and explain what kids will feel during the cleaning. We live in Wasilla and it's worth the trip to Eagle River! Dr. Matt is kind and caring, You can tell he enjoys children. He explains in detail the next step if cavities are found. The front desk team is wonderful!

2022 Update: Kids are now 5 and 3 and we have been going to Discovery Dental for about 4 years and truly couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. My kids are both pretty shy around people they don’t know well and the staff at Discovery are consistent (sign of a great workplace) and so kind. They make my girls feel safe and welcome. My 3 year old had a few soft spots and I was really impressed with how they handled the fillings on a 3 year old, and Dr. Matt even sang to her while he worked on her teeth.
The TV set up over the chair, the headphones so they can listen to a movie, the sunglasses to protect their eyes from the light..it’s all top notch.

Updating to add that this place gets better and better each time we go. My kids are now 3 and 15 months and loved their visit so much I had to drag them out of the building!

We love Discovery Dental! The staff are super nice and the facility is great for kids! I love their waiting room and the toddler room is jungle themed!
My daughter (2 years old) isn’t a fan of being touched by anyone that she doesn’t know and they are always so kind and patient with her.
Wouldn’t consider going anywhere else!

Absolutely an amazing team! This was my children's (3.5yo and 2yo) first visit to this dentist. They were beyond welcoming and patient as my children were cautious to allow them to help. They cleaned their teeth at each of the children's pace and even went as far as to kneel on the floor to do the cleaning since the chairs were intimidating to them. Then the dentist came and had the same calm demeanor and patience. All were extremely kid-friendly as was the facility. They even had a teeny door for children to use for fun! I will highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for pediatric dental work!

I have nothing but good things to say about Discovery Dental! Every staff member is friendly and accommodating. They know how to work with kids of all ages and are incredibly patient. My oldest originally went to a "family dentistry" but unfortunately they did not know how to work with kids and it was a really bad experience for her. Discovery talked with her about her concerns and performed the same work, but correctly this time. Totally changed her feelings about going to the dentist! During our most recent visit, she had to get fillings between her back molars. She was terrified and cried a lot, but again the staff was very patient. They let me sit on the bed with her during the whole operation. Let me just say: the doctors and assistants here are the real deal! They pair quality with efficiency, and even though my daughter was on nitrous the whole time and didn't remember anything from the operation, the doctor spoke to her and kept her calm and happy. I have never been more happy to pay for a medical procedure, and for what I paid it was a steal! You will never get a better dental experience for your kiddos than Discovery Dental!

Best staff from front desk to dental team! My daughter is 2.5 and has been twice. She gets excited to get her teeth cleaned by the friendly assistant/hygienist and dentist. Most recent appt was super quick but thorough. We don’t have any current issues we needed to fix or address regarding her teeth but they answered all my questions and were very thorough despite quick. They are conscious about getting consent from the kids before touching or using any instruments. They explain what they are doing so the kids can follow and also say no if they aren’t ready to have their mouth touched. Great experience every time.

Been going here for almost 4 years and although the actual dental visits are great, I have continuously had issues with their billing department billing out correctly and sending out bills in a timely manner. I don't think we will be going back if the next visit has the same issues.

UPDATE: Had a routine visit in December 2022, I called ahead a few days prior to make sure things would be good with insurance as a precaution and was told it would be fine. Did not get a bill until 3 months later just saying balance forward 30-60 days past due. I tried working with the office to discuss the issues yet again, but I decided it was better to just cut ties. I am thankful that out of this, our son has a positive dental experience, but I do not want the billing experience that comes with it every visit.
