I initially visited this dental office for a routine cleaning after finding a great price online. However, I quickly felt an overwhelming amount of pressure during my visit, which ultimately resulted in a significantly more expensive experience involving two cavity fillings and a deep cleaning.

I’ve always taken good care of my teeth, and previous dentists have complimented me on my oral hygiene. Unfortunately, this visit left me feeling embarrassed and judged. While the dental assistant kindly mentioned I had nice teeth (I wish I remembered her name), I felt dismissed when I mentioned that I practice oil pulling — I was quickly categorized as “one of those.” Additionally, I use aligners and felt criticized for that choice as well. There seemed to be little respect or understanding for individuals who take a more natural approach to dental care.

My teeth, which had never caused me any discomfort before, have been sensitive since the fillings. I truly wish I had been given the opportunity to consider the proposed treatments instead of being rushed into them. Two follow-up appointments were scheduled before I had even agreed to proceed, and by the time the procedure was done, I was tired, uncomfortable, and felt taken advantage of in a moment of vulnerability.

Overall, the experience felt high-pressure, costly, and not at all in line with the respectful, patient-centered care I was hoping for.
