"Why in the world am I on hold for over an hour each time I call to help one of the insured members of DDAR. I am currently on hold for 1hr 51 mins, and I keep getting recording stating, "One of our great customer service representatives will be with you in a minute." This is utterly ridiculous!!! Create a call back queue or hire more reps.

I have called customer service a few times needing assistance for a billing error and recieved the utmost assistance. The customer service rep went so far as to call the dentist office to assist in filling out the form correctly so the bill can go through the correct channels for payment.

I’m sadden at how bad Delta Dental has become not only after their most recent update, but in the last few years. I have been in Dentistry for many years, and “Delta quality” no longer exists!! The hold times, and the going back and forth with reps is unethical to say the least! Our office has had several patients claims “lost” or “can’t be found”. I have tripled checked with the clearing house, Delta reps, and everything on our end is fine. Let’s touch base when you go to call and speak to a rep… no one answers, hold times can be hours!!! How can one spend their entire day calling on our patients behalf to get these claims processed, insurance verified if no one answers? Yes, we can “search online” however we’re furnished with incorrect information. Also, how can you attach clinical information, when there is no where to submit it? I have emailed a rep showing the incorrect information just to get a “I’ll send that over to my supervisor” then to only be ghosted and my patients claims not paid… I highly recommend Delta Dental to really research into this huge problem!!! It’s truly unethical to treat dental providers, and most importantly your clients who pay into these benefits with such poor customer service or even better a lack of!

Everyone warned me the worst expenses at retirement I'd encounter would be dental and that was true. But Delta Dental has been more beneficial than other policies I had after retirement. I actually changed dentists when he told me he accepted Delta. So, I am happy with Delta dental.

I'm hopeful the in-network fee schedules are increased soon. Your online portal is great and all your representatives are friendly and helpful. I would like for the provider to be able to look up coverage with the name and birthdate alone. Otherwise, GREAT JOB!

Mainly the fact that I have not had to pay anything out of pocket for dental other than the premium. I go to the dentist every 3 months for cleaning and x-rays and have not had to pay anything out of pocket other than my premium. That helps tremendously when you are retired and on a fixed income. I highly recommend Delta Dental especially if you are retired and on a fixed income like we are.
