If I could get my parents to leave Boston this is where they would be thriving! This is a different type of community sprawled on 31 acres of outside type of living. It is not a hotel style community is one that is active and gets you outside getting fresh air and vitamin D. The staff is amazing and the residents are so friendly and serving.
There is all level of care from independent, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing all within the community, so you don’t have to move your family members to another location and all of their friends and everything they know is there.
So much to do if you want or you can live a quiet life too.
Planning for the future is overwhelming but they know how to guide you through.

My parents live at the Covenant Village at Mount Miguel and I couldn’t be more pleased! The Village staff are friendly, professional, and very helpful. My parents have an independent living apartment, and we have peace of mind knowing that someone checks every day to make sure they are safe and well. Skilled nursing and memory care are also available on campus. They have access to great nutritional meals and exercise classes. Since moving to Mt Miguel a couple years ago, my parents are healthier and more active. They have wonderful neighbors and the staff encourages everyone who lives there to participate at some level in community activities, most of which are run by residents for the residents. During a walk on campus on any given day, we are sure to be greeted by friendly, smiling neighbors and staff. I would highly recommend Covenant Living at Mount Miguel to anyone seeking retirement living.

Loving place. I always am greeted by caring staff who have great relationships with my mom who is there. I am one of those who believe emphatically that sending a parent to a home is a death warrant and both of mine were sent by siblings and I was mad. But I’m this cas with mom she’s doing good and has friends from outside life in there and great staff. She’s not the most social person in past so finding she has relationships that bless her there is nice.

I am 17 years old and I have pretty much grown up here. My grandparents moved in nearly 20 years ago and have loved everything. They have been reunited with friends and made many new ones. My grandpa passed away 2 years ago and my grandma has actually remodeled their apartment since and has such an awesome support network there. I love the staff and the new buildings are great! More than we deserve, my grandma would say. I love the friendliness and how active the community is at the village, they really are like a village! They say retirement, but these people just keep doing and this place allows for that. It's truly a beautiful place.

Staff is caring and well trained. My dad is there and he has received exceptional care while healing from hip surgery. Everyone is very eager to assist any way they possibly can. In the three weeks my dad has been there, I have not witnessed nor heard any unkind treatment towards my father and I am there on average six days out of seven, different times of the day. I would definitely recommend this skilled nursing facility for anyone seeking care for a loved one.

You should have more days available to bathe patients, make more efforts to ensure that they do physical therapy, frequently check the patients' rooms, pay attention to the patient's pain and needs. I had to demand an ambulance for my father, he was in a lot of pain. stomach and they only gave him pills for gastritis, I don't recommend it.

Continuing care retirement communities are only good for residents willing to give up some of their liberties. We would all want to think they have our best interest at heart but the fact is it's a business that must keep the end dollar a priority. There are so many regulations put on these facilities to help protect the resident that has no one else looking after them. If you have family involved in the residents care these regulations lead to a lot of frustration because residents must be moved to the next higher level of care when they meet certain physical and mental conditions. These moves might not be what the resident wants or needs. These facilities operate like an assembly line. The operation is the resident moves in healthy and active, then as their health worsens they move to the next higher level of care (i.e. independent living, assisted living, nursing home). When that resident moves another resident moves in to take their place. Each time a resident moves into independent living there is a large bye in ( this is where they make the largest portion of their profits). So there is an incentive for them to move residents through the 3 phases, so like i said it's a business. On the good side, if you just go along with the program and don't mind them making decisions for you then this is the place for you. They are mandated to care for you. Most of the care workers are great. I just believe there is a major conflict between making life choices for someone and trying to make sound financial decisions. So before moving in and signing that contract, do your research. CANHR is a great resource to know the details of what your getting into. I will be glad to answer any questions or to direct you to the right resource. Have a wonderful day

My grandma entered this facility for just a 4 day period. She entered this facility fine and passed away the morning of returning home while in their hands. Nobody has answers!! The staff doesn’t speak good English. The passing of my grandmother was swept under the rug. We will find answers
