They were very nice and friendly not what I was expecting from a convalescent home. And everyone from the housekeepers to the top nurses and pt and ot was like them caring what you were going through. I'm now living in a assisted living place, but I still keep in touch with them.

We highly recommend COUNTRY Manor Health Care for our love ones. My Stepdad stayed here for a week and from the admission the staff are very nice and they took care of him very well until the day we picked him up. My dad talked about how they took care of him and how the staff are very nice to him and also the food says that it’s really good.

I was a cook there for 4 years. We in the dietary dept would cook our dishes according to their diets.
We had Sonia M. She was strict but
Super friendly supervisor.
But one thing I noticed was that the CNAs were not doing their assigned jobs well to their patients.

More Questions than answers. Country Manor keeps replying they will contact people, but do they really? How is my review down along with all the other negative reviews I've read? I will post again in an effort to give a voice to Great Grandpa, a Veteran, 82nd and 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles. Great Grandpa was in a Nursing Home after his first stroke, wheelchair bound, with a diagnosis of Alzheimer/Dementia, he received good care and physical therapy at Julian in Bakersfield. BUT, big but, when the VA put him in Country Manor at Lake View Terrace, after another stroke, in our opinion, the nightmare for our family began. Now I always see on these negative reviews Country Manor will talk with the family member complaining, but in all our letters concerning where are Great Grandpa's clothes (all)? his watch from the 1950's? where are all his upper teeth, were they pulled? except one in the back? Why did he see a dentist, why did the dentist hang up on us? why is the ALW program paperwork not filed? who filled out this form that gives Country Manor custody to make decisions for Great Grandpa, it is not in our writing, it's not in his writing? where are all his snacks? why does he have no television? why is Great Grandpa calling home late at night scared? Why is he repeating he is being told he is being put on the street at night, without a phone, without a wallet? why does he appear heavily medicated? why is he in urine soaked pants, and shoes on every visit? and all these questions, called in, voiced in person, written in letter, have no response to date from Country Manor Nursing Home. Great Grandpa checked himself out, almost 50 lbs pounds lighter. What haunts me to this day is the cry's from the rooms, not just one, the staff member who refused to let a resident use the phone, and with such a mean attitude. Do you know how many times Great Grandpa calls home, needs to call home? I dropped off over $300 in Easter Goodies, snacks, bottled water to the Nurses Station for Great Grandpa, enough to last a couple months, only to discover nothing remained the next day. No Nurse could find one Candied Easter Rabbit, I had useless receipts in hand from the facility. Great Grandpa can't reach his food tray against the wall, he needs help. Why are we told he doesn't need utensils, what? he doesn't use them? he uses utensils at every meal. Great Grandpa can call us anytime of day or night, and he does, now that he's out of Country Manor and at Glenpark at Boynton, in Glendale. The two medical evaluations appear to be night and day, the alertness, and healthy attitude, he never calls home in fear, and he like to call home, he has all his clothes, his snacks, he eats literally tons of snacks, his loves television, in particular Westerns. Glenpark at Boynton takes Great Grandpa to meals, with utensils, make sure he eats. Please copy this review if you have had or have a Loved One in Country Manor, you never know if you will need support for your own claims.

If I could give this review "0" stars I would.
First off the ladies who answer the phones are very unprofessional, rude, and will hang up in your face. Everytime I try to call up there long distance it's a freaking hassle to get them to get my family members on the phone. They tell me they don't know where they are or their smoking and just hang up. Be professional don't tell family you don't know where their loved ones are smfh. I can't just imagine being a resident there smh again.
