Yeah, not good. First, the procedures are rushed...never sure I really got a full cleaning. Second, and the reason for this post... patients considering using Coronado Smiles, be careful to never miss an appointment without cancelling. We are a family of 3 and have been patients of this firm for over 5 years and have spent thousands on cleanings and various other work. We miss an appointment and bam, charged $75 per person for a missed appointment. I get that its a business and those spots go unfilled, but when we call to discuss, we are met with a cold shoulder and an uncaring attitude. Not even a care that we have been great customers for years. It was the attitude that makes me say farewell. It's actually a blessing as we have been considering changing anyhow so this just makes our decision for us. Take this for what it is worth.

Honestly to start off this review, I feel like giving this place a 1 star is generous. I am currently pregnant and needed to get my teeth cleaned and updated X-Rays. My appointment was scheduled at 11:00 am but I received a called at 10:45 when I was already in the parking lot. The receptionist told me they were cancelling my appointment the very last minute because I needed a dental clearance for my OBGYN, she was very rude and was quick to hang up the phone after I had questions about it. Not a problem. I got the dental clearance 2 minutes after this call and was able to still make it to my appointment. Upon arriving, it didn't seem like a very welcoming place. I think the only pleasant experience I had was the dental assistant who took my X-rays. Seeing the actual dentist she had told me I had gingivitis and said that it could harm me and my unborn baby if I didn't come see her again for another cleaning in 3 MONTHS!! I'm still absolutely disgusted by this unprofessional behavior. I'm due in 3 months and I know for a fact that a pregnant women would not want to be sitting in those uncomfortable chairs just for another teething cleaning. My husband is active duty so we have United Concordia and I'm able to get teeth cleaning every 6 months but this dental office expected me to be okay with paying out of pocket for some mediocre teeth cleaning. I have a new fear of dentists for sure. This was a horrific experience and I absolutely hate this place.

I highly recommend Dr. Afshar and her staff! I was nervous because I’ve never had a great experience with a dentist but all of the staff and Dr. Afhsar were amazing. My x-rays and cleaning were pain-free and efficient. Dr. Afshar took the time to answer my questions and refer me to an oral surgeon. Juanita at the front desk was lovely and contacted the oral surgeon for me to assist in scheduling a consultation. Great experience and I highly recommend giving Coronado Smiles a try.

I have had all my dental work and annual checkups and cleaning done here for over 4 years now and always a fabulous experience! The office is lovely and always perfectly clean and bright and the staff all exceptionally nice and helpful and service oriented. Dr. Katee Afshar is a real professional and very gentle when giving shots and working in your mouth. All equipment is state of the art too. I recently had an upper molar implant done by a oral surgeon she referred me to, and then she put on the final crown. All perfect !!
I highly recommend Coronado Smiles Dental and have moved a great deal in my life and seen many, many dentists and rate this as one of the best!!

Same day, excellent service!
I called several dentists in the area to make an appointment. This was the only location that would provide a cleaning and check up in the same day/appointment. All the other dentist offices in this area that I called told me I would need to have a separate appointment for my teeth cleaning and come back another day for x-rays and check up. Time is money. Plus Friendly & nice professional staff… clean environment.

By far the best dentist I've ever been to!! The doctor is fast, kind, and extremely good! I had to have some cavities taken care of and the only thing I felt at times was a cold sensation. I didn't even feel when she was giving the numbing injection. They also take Tricare dental insurance which is such a relief. The staff is super nice as well! You can't go wrong going here!

Top notch customer service with a smile, from the time you book your appointment through the whole cleaning/consultation. The team offers great tips on how to improve your oral health and is very detail oriented during cleanings. My wife, kids, and I all enjoy going here.
