-Was unsatisfied by one of the procedures I had done here.
-Dr. Wu was absent three times I had appointments to see him. 2 of those times I wasn’t informed until I arrived.
-Received a bill 14 months after my last appointment for nearly $500.
-One of the appointments on the bill was a date when Dr. Wu was absent- I have fought with the billing department and not had any luck.

Dauod, Dr, Wu, Monica and staff are wonderful. Daoud is the best dental hygienist I have ever had- fast, thorough, gentle and easy to talk to. My husband and I actually look forward to going to the dentist for our cleanings lol. Highly recommend!!

Reasons for this 1-star review:
1. I felt pressured into getting a night guard that was not right for my teeth. I've since transferred to a different dentist who recommended a lower night guard instead, which is a better fit for my situation. (I was given an upper night guard by Dr. Wu, but a lower one is better for me)
2. I was told my night guard would be covered by my insurance, and then after I got fitted, the receptionist told me that this actually wasn't the case, and I needed to pay over $500 out of pocket.
3. The night guard I received was not well fitted and caused pain. I had to go back into the office to get it adjusted.
4. The appointment to adjust my night guard was made at a different location. Staff did not tell me this when the appointment was made, so I had to drive from Coronado to La Mesa during rush hour so that I could get my night guard fixed.
5. For my first appointment, the office was closed, and I was not notified. I drove to the office for my scheduled appointment only to learn it was randomly closed.
6. Long wait times, often over 45 minutes.
7. When I scheduled my first appointment, I had to fill out a lot of paperwork online. When I got to the appointment, they told me they were out of printer ink, so they couldn't print out my online forms and needed my to fill out everything by hand on paper

Best dentist/clinic I have been to hands down! Super awesome staff, no wait time & AFFORDABLE! Two crowns & a partial for around $1,100 which is the best pricing I have heard of around the San Diego area. They set me up with a VR set so I could watch a movie while I got my crowns & also gave me a heated neck pillow! Super cool.

Dr. Wu and his staff are nice people. However, some of the situations which led to less than 5 stars include the following-

1. Closed the office without contacting me. I had driven from LJ in afternoon traffic to find the building locked. They apologized, but it was still incredibly frustrating. I had used PTO to leave work.
2. I would always request to have a cleaning and Invisalign appointment scheduled for the same day. When I would arrive, I was told that there was not enough time for a cleaning.
3. While I was driving to my last appointment, I received a text stating that I needed to have my appointment pushed back multiple hours.
4. Long wait times. I would often fall asleep in the lobby.
5. I had to advocate for an Invisalign revision at the end of my first round. It seemed that Dr. Wu and staff were eager to remove the buttons and end treatment without thoroughly evaluating my progress.

I adore this place! Everyone is so friendly. I loved having chats with the dental hygienist. I felt very spoiled here and it made me actually want to go to the dentist. I had to move back to the East Coast or else I would still go here!
