I was scheduled for an outpatient surgery. My experience was fantastic from registration to discharge. I was extremely nervous and everyone was sensitive to that. I dont have good veins for IVs, but my nurse Madi got one in my hand on the 1st attempt. Amazing! On the way to holding the nurse stopped where my family was and held our hands with us as my dad prayed over me.
Down to holding where the anesthesia dr held my hand and had a conversation with me for well over 30 minutes to calm my nerves. Surgery was performed, I was in recovery with a team of nurses who were phenomenal and that anesthesia dr at my side telling me how great I did and how happy he was to see me! Back to Madi who helped me to the bathroom, get back to my clothes, and discharged. (Seemed that fast, but proper time was taken) she wheeled me to my car and their work was done! The next day a home nurse came to take my iv out and I was so impressed with Madi because not even a tiny bruise in my hand, when so many can't even get an iv started. Just can't say enough how wonderful my experience was! Thank you to all!

My husband took me into the ER last Saturday with extreme abdominal pain. The ER people took me directly into triage and got me situated promptly to help relieve some pain. The ER Doctor, Dr. Garver or Grover ( I was pretty sick and don't recall the spelling) was fantastic and very rational. He referred me to Dr Cummings for a procedure and all went well. The entire staff down to dietary was great. I will continue to go to Conemaugh Nason for any urgent care or need.

When we were approached by my husband's Dr in the ER this morning (Ken Leslie) he was extremely rude and had the bedside manner of a troll. I've never experienced such terrible bedside manner in my life. I hope this man's rudeness doesn't continue on with all of his patients. I really hope this Dr is just experiencing a bad day. If Nason hospital promotes patient rudeness from their stuff I would very strongly recommend going to any other hospital except here.

Always got very good care with my parents. The patient advocate Leslie was wonderful, she even gave me a hearing aid battery for my fathers hearing aid so he could hear as he had some testing done.

Went in Saturday afternoon for extreme stomach pain...didn't wait to long ended up needing my appendix out...Dr Cummings was great and so was the Anesthesiologist...after my surgery my husband was there until noon...saw my nurse at 1:40...called for a drink at 3:15 was ignored, didn't get a drink until 4:30 when my dinner got to the room and she got me a pepsi in 2 minutes...Matt came by room while I was eating asked if i was good. And at the time I was...I called for medicine and once again was ignored, so I managed to walk myself to nurses station asking for help and the nurse that was there asked me if I really needed help to the bathroom. I JUST HAD SURGERY! I told her my husband was coming for me and wanted to sign myself out. The letter in room says they will be in every hour to help you...that letter is a lie. I wasn't seen or helped and I was ignored for 6 hours in total. Should have went to UPMC.

Was my first time there today for a heart cath. From the front door till my exit, I was greeted with nothing but smiles, pleasantness and concern. Special shout out to my nurses Sarah and Emily for making my time there fun (yeah, fun!), and also to Luke in the cath lab for making my day. The nurse looked at me and stated that my daughter’s care was not important to her. They made an infant sit dehydrated for over 2 hours and filled and emptied the whole waiting room before even seeing my daughter and I had to go up and ask when the ER was going to take my daughter back to be seen to be told that she wasn’t important! We will never be returning after being told that children don’t matter there!
