So far, so good in terms of courtesy and communication, keeping me updated on arrival and surgery times. My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon with my excellent surgeon, Dr. Donald Atkins.
I will make sure to update my review on Saturday, but I am delighted so far with their commitment to serve and communicate effectively.
I had my lumbar pain stimulator implant surgery yesterday, 9/19/25, and the staff was phenomenal from every person I interacted with.
Highly impressed with the staff, the facility, and obviously my surgeon, Dr. Donald Atkins, who has operated on me several times, and he's been nothing short of a fantastic surgeon.

HORRIBLE communication and no consideration for their clients. I had knee surgery scheduled. They tell me A WEEK before my appointment that they need $500 down for a shot or they can’t do the surgery. Fine, I pay it.
But then, THE DAY BEFORE MY SURGERY, the front desk lady (very rude) tells me that the down payment is actually $4k something. The doctors even admitted to not making direct contact with me to request this payment. All I got was a text on a Holiday

This is extremely unprofessional and as healthcare workers, it is embarrassing that issues like this can’t be foreseen. I am not from San Antonio and I had to plan for this surgery. Having to deal with physical pain is hard enough, communicating with health care “professionals” shouldn’t be so difficult. This could have been prevented with proper communication.

From start to finish the entire staff was truly outstanding. Aside from the outstanding Dr.s Atkins,Tisdall and Tobatai I had complete confidence in their skills.
The nurses Erin, Alicia and Carla immediately began to set me at ease before and after the procedure. Their skills and patient care were impressive. I may have not put all the names that I came in contact with,but I can not think of anything negative to say about the entire staff.
The facility was clean and seemingly well stocked. I also appreciated their follow up the next day.

OUTSTANDING!! One word that defines the medical services and patient care provided by Dr. Tisdall's staff. Everyone is so welcoming and very professional all throughout. The PM treatments have improved my quality of life and always feel 100% better for months at the time. I thank Dr. Tisdall and the medical staff (so many to name) all of them are just amazing human beings an their patient care is impressive. After the procedure the caring does not stop, the nurses will follow up with calls and check in with you make sure that you are doing well after the procedure.
One feature that my wife loves is the constant text updates she receives on my status while waiting outside.
I highly recommend you to come to this medical practice to take care of your PM needs.

Haven’t been able to get back, but the service and ALL employees, and I mean ALL EMPLOYEES FROM COMFORT SURGERY OF SAN ANTONIO, are awesome. I remember just how hesitant and scared I first was, after being there 5 minutes I knew I was in the right place! From procedure to procedure(different )i stoped feeling didn’t feel left out or uncared for. Such a great place and caring staff! As mentioned I’ve got to go back!
