My Mother-In-Law has been a resident at Capistrano Senior Living for about 3 months. I have seen a lot of good changes and love what they have done for my Mother-In-Law. I know she can be difficult, she has had no complaints. Her only concern has been that she didn't move in sooner. She has made many new friends. We appreciate how they look out for each other.

We love the food and the staff. Activities we cannot say enough about! There is always something to do. There is great entertainment at times, I'm impressed with the quality of singing and music. I am happy that we have my Mother-in-Law there, been our best decision, yet it was a hard one. We are happy that we made the right one.

My partner was there for several weeks. He was transferred from the hospital to Capistrano, after having back surgery caused by a blood infection. The nursing staff took wonderful care of him, as did the physical therapist and occupational therapist. The entire staff is top notch.
I was a daily visitor……the place is clean, friendly, caring and kind. Health and safety are a priority for staff, visitors and clients. Very nice place, walking paths, patios. A super great place and wonderful staff❤️

Brookdale Senior Living in San Juan Capistrano is a wonderful facility. We moved our elderly mother into her little "studio" type apartment earlier this year. We are very pleased with how smooth the transition was for her. The care giving staff is excellent; very kind and helpful. And the Activities Team is wonderful. They work very hard to plan activities that engage as many of the residents as possible As a result of their thoughtful and caring approach to all of the seniors, they have created a very welcoming environment. I could never have anticipated how easy the move would be for my mom, and how much she would enjoy her new "home". She feels safe there. I am very grateful to everyone at Brookdale SJC for taking excellent care of my mom.

I spent 45 days in the facility while I recovered from back surgery and a blood infection. The facility is modern, clean and well maintained. While I was there my room was cleaned daily and I received excellent knowledgeable nursing care, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. They offered a wide selection of food that was served three times daily with snacks in the afternoon. The staff was caring and responsive to all my needs.

My husband stayed at the assisted living facility for several months in 2020. He enjoyed the activities, outings (before the covid restrictions) and food. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff was very professional and caring, and they often went beyond their duty to make sure he was comfortable and tried to accommodate all his requests. I am very grateful for their hard work and dedication.

In May of 2022, I entered Mission Capistrano for 43 days following surgery. I found the staff and CNA's caring and overall responsive to my needs and requirements. Almost all staff, CNA's, Therapists, Nurses, Managers and Maintenance personnel were personable and easy to converse with. The two rooms where I stayed were comfortable and maintained daily. I found the menu to be varied. A weekly menu is provided the patient where a selection can be made of preferred foods of those offered. The menu selections were generally healthy foods and well prepared in my estimation. Medications needed were dispensed by the Nurses on a regular basis. The one area where improvement was needed is that of faster CNA/Staff response to the Call Button when a person needs assistance. Considering all areas of service and care, I would recommend Mission Capistrano Healthcare Center for a rehabilitation facility and wish to thank all who provided care during my time at the healthcare center.

My 94 yr old mother was a resident from Mar 2016 until Feb 2017, when we moved her closer to family. I give high marks to Brookdale for their love of my Mom, the quality of food, housekeeping, activities (Roger and Hari, you're the BEST!)and their personal service care to my Mother. Their Skilled Nursing Facility is the best in the area, my Mom spent several months there undergoing rehab, they are good. I recommend Brookdale San Juan Capistrano.

The staff here have been more than welcoming in my mother's 2-3 week stay. She's been going to Dialysis which is conveniently across the street! They pick her up and provide her plenty of extra care along he way!

Harry Albiniato has been a highlight. He has been warm, kind, friendly and treats my mother as if she was part of HIS family. Some examples include, but are not limited to, personal assistance with her technology and giving her the necessary hardware to make her stay comfortable. He (Harry) has offered and followed through with punctual pickups at Davita where she has her dialysis. He offered and followed through with a trip to Dana Point Harbor as well! What a nice suggestion to get out a little for some fresh air and a different scenery.

Being German, and considering her cultural background, he played Octoberfest music in the TV room on his laptop connected to a big screen TV so mom and 8-10 others saw and heard some wonderful German folk tunes watching the Alps and the surrounding Swiss/German scenery.

Kristian, mom's RN, is serious about his job and is very helpful. He is attentive, punctual and professional. He is detailed oriented and as a concerned son that is very comforting to me.

The staff includes physical therapists and occupational therapists which keeps mom very busy. She tells me after a day sometimes she's tired but a good tired!

The cafeteria staff recognizes her specific dietary needs. They have followed through consistently and mom reports the food is tasty, nutritious and the portions are a bit small but after eating she's never hungry.

There are 3 location options for meals. Since mom is in the skilled nursing sections of Brookdale, her choices are not any different. 1) The main dining room in front, 2) the dining room at skilled nursing and finally 3) in her room.

Mom invited my lady and I for dinner and at a nominal guest fee of $8 per person we experienced it firsthand at the big dining room in the front of the property.

At 6-3, 265 I have a big appetite. I ordered from the daily menu as well as from the regular menu and I was very pleased. I orders off the regular menu: a salad, fruit plate (pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon) with cottage cheese, turkey sandwich in conjunction with the daily menu of salmon macaroni and cheese and steamed carrots. It was tasty, fresh (not canned) and served hot or cold when applicable.

I'm very pleased with Brookdale. For the record, my high praise may be thought to be fake or a conflict of interest if I had any interest in their company. I have no interest in this company and am a complete stranger/customer that was randomly placed here by Mission Hospital doctors.

A+!!!!
