This is the most important review I have written. My mom, Barbara Barnes, passed away on Thursday, two days shy of her 95th birthday. Bradford House Nursing & Rehab was her home for the last four and a half years. She received excellent care during that time. Care that was delivered with kindness and compassion. My brother and I are grateful for the way my mom was kept comfortable this past week, and for the kindness shown to us. I highly recommend Bradford House to anyone that has a family member or friend in need of long term care. Bradford House team: God bless you for the work you do and how you do it. Many of you touched her heart, and several of you shared with us how much she meant to you. Thank you for honoring our mom!!!

Would not recommend to any family member or worker. They don’t have enough staff and that is to blame their DON. Horrible management. I found bugs at facility and my family member was not taken care of due to bad training from higher up.

My mother had been there for at least 5 years, until she passed away in the night some time. I was not even notified by them, yet I found out they had notified her D.H.S. case worker around midnight. Also, that the funeral director had been notified.
I was not even notified until approximately 8:30 the next morning; which was when the funeral director called me thinking Bradford House had notified me to set up a time for me to come and finish the final arrangements. He and I both were totally blind sided and in a bad situation!

Notification protocol; for health issues, accidents, and death, was totally ignored and totally without compassion or give a damn!!!
Keep a close eye on any loved ones in ANY of these facilities and staff to protect and prepare yourself and them at ALL TIMES!!!! Eyebrows are definitely raised about this!!!

My mom had to go here for rehab. She was put on a senior care hall. When I went to visit I was surprised to see that call lights would take over 40 minutes to be answered. She was laughed at over hallucination she was having and no one was concerned about these at all. I had to call and complain before anything was done and they still didn’t do anything but take her blood. She left with this problem. They let my mom go after a week of therapy and she could barely walk to the car when I was taking her home. Please do not take your family members here. They are understaffed and don’t mind telling the patients about how understaffed they are. Which in turn made my mom feel guilty everytime she needed to use her call button. She was suppose to have assistance going to the restroom but would end up going by herself so she wouldn’t urinate on herself. I could go on and on about how bad the treatment was but hopefully I’ve said enough so that you won’t leave your loved ones there. I wish I would have read the other reviews before selecting this place.

My greatest concern is lack of communication with the resident's family. My family member may have permanent eye loss due to lack of communication. Phones rings off the hook and finally disconnects your incoming call.
Shortage of staff, making it hard for the dedicated workers to devote the time needed per resident.
Frequent turnover with staff, especially in the "Locked Unit." The atmosphere in that unit is toxic.
Are you wondering why she is still there? This is the inevitable consequence of being financially incapable of paying for medical care. Such is life!

My aunt just passed away at this facility and I can't tell you how wonderful these people are! They take on so much to make sure everything is smooth. Right before she passed they came in and changed her clothes cleaned her up they even brushed her hair. It's clean the people are wonderful. I can't express the gratitude for this place. You get treated like family. Thank you all for being fantastic and we appreciate you!

If I could give a lower rating I would. Bradford house is by far one of the worst places I’ve ever seen. My family member is currently there and every day I come in she is completely drenched in urine down to the bed. I’ve come in in the morning time and the CNAS are very lazy and have a mouth on them. Half of the time they’re sitting on their phones or are back talking nurses. In the evenings I’ve noticed the CNAS are actually trying to take care of my family member but the amount of call light that are ringing is ridiculous. They are very short staffed and only ever see the same 2 people running around. There are ants and moths running and flying all over the hallways and on tables in the rooms I would not recommend having your loved ones stay here. The administrator is very rude and unprofessional as well. Good luck getting him to take care of anything.

My loved one is there for rehab, asked for a pain pill over 2 hrs ago and his nurse did own up to it being her fault due to not being used to working 2 halls by herself. His last dose was at 6am and can have them 4 times a day. Again not enough staffing everywhere in the United States it seems.
