Baptist Health Urgent Care

We have used this office SO much this season, unfortunately.  Every single time, the staff is wonderful.  The APRNs are always excellent and so knowledgeable.  I have had great experiences for myself and for both of my kids.  So grateful to have them so close :)

I noticed Saturday night that there appears to be a hair embedded in my eye. I searched online for a place to get treatment quickly as eye damage can quickly become loss of vision.   I called the north little rock location first. I was told that they could "definitely" treat this and that they had the proper equipment, but that I should to to the location on Markham or Cantrell as they had a long wait time. I go to the location on Cantrell around 4:40 and fill out the paperwork specifying why I'm there as well as insurance and pay my copay. I sit in the waiting area until 5:30. The receptionist closes the blinds and switches off lamps. I'm called back where I am weighted and sent to a room. My sister is asked to come into my room and wait with me so they can close the lobby down. Around 5:50 the doctor comes in to the exam room flashes a light in my eye twice and tells me there's nothing she can do. They don't have the proper equipment. I explain that I called before to be sure that they could treat me but was told to go to this location. I am then told that she had seen 4 others who were told by the NLR location to come here instead and that this is a common occurrence. Why was I lied to, why was I not informed at check in that they cannot treat eye related issues, why did they take my copay for nothing. I paid to sit  in that building for an hour.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with the care I received. Ms. Robinson the NP made me feel confident in the diagnosis and the care I received. There was a little confusion at a point in my visit and she came back in to answer my questions. I wish I knew the names of the other people involved in my care because I would give a shout out to each of them. The check appointment process and check in was a breeze using the Solv website. When I arrived the woman at the desk greeted me and was very friendly. The staff member that brought me back and did my vital signs was also very friendly. When the same woman came in to draw my labs, she was very friendly and did a fantastic job. I didn't feel a thing and it was very quick. The woman who did my x-ray was friendly and professional. The process was fast, and I had the results back as quickly as they said they would have them which often isn't the case in modern healthcare. I could tell from the number of people who came and went during my visit, and I knew they were busy. I felt they did a great job of limiting wait times, providing care, and getting me back to work. I would highly recommend the Baptist Urgent Care on Cantrell Road to anyone who needs good care in a timely manner.

UPDATE Received a call that r explained events from appointment. Advised I would be called with results. Staff were really nice. Wait time was reasonable. However I left with no treatment or treatment plan for the symptoms I was experiencing . I was given no possible diagnosis or anything. I was told I would get a call with results from tests and given a Dr excuse from work which I didn’t ask for or need. I would have like to have been given some instructions on what to do or at least told to continue doing what I was doing… anything to feel better .

It was a small infection that caused a lot of pain and my doctor was out of town. So I tried out Baptist Health urgent care. So easy. Short wait, nice people from the front desk to the medical provider. They did labs, antibiotics were called in, and I'm already feeling better four hours later. They accepted Medicare and my Blue Cross supplement for payment in full. I now know there is a third choice if you don't need to go to an ER and your doctor can't see you immediately. I felt terrible and they fixed it.

The front desk attendant was caring and offered me water she could see I felt sooo bad. The Nurse Practitioner Mrs. Robinson was AWESOME!! Deneasha Robinson knew all my symptoms before I could even tell her even before the results came back. I want to come to the urgent care for all my PCP needs if I am able to do so!!

This BH urgent care facility was hands above the experience I had at the West Markham location last week! The NP actually prescribed me the right meds and in the right dosages. Amazing what a difference that makes! True professionals in the entire place.

This was the best experience I've had in a while visiting a doctors office. APRN Denisha Robinson is awesome! She was very attentive to my son. She did not rush to get us out of the clinic like some places. The entire staff was great. I would definitely recommend!
