Currently working as a physical therapist assistant and have been here for a couple weeks already. The rehab team is amazing and have been so helpful in getting me acclimated here. The rest of the staff including nursing, maintenance department, housekeeping, and upper management have all been amazing as well! My dad has been a patient at Balboa for over a year and it’s been a wonderful experience and welcome relief for my family. The staff there is very caring and helpful and kind. They all do so much work in such a difficult environment with lots of difficult patients. And they still maintain great care and awesome attitude. I recommend for anyone! Im so glad my dad is getting care here.

I broke my hip and spent two weeks at Balboa recuperating. I have never been in a skilled nursing facility. Wow! Balboa is very very clean. More importantly their people are awesome!

Physical/Occupational Therapy: Shawna, Brian and both Cheryl's were very kind and gently pushed me to bigger efforts each day.

Medication Nurse: Chris, Estrella and Amy were mind readers! They anticipated my needs before I did!

Fourth Floor Staff: Rita and Maryanne were always upbeat and pleasant no matter what was going on.

Many other staff were extremely helpful as well.

The employees were pretty good. One employee asian brought Mercedes her lunch and set it on a little Cabinet by her bed and said she was going to get a table to put over her bed so she could eat. She never came back si I went to look for another person and asked her to bring a table that the other lady never came back. The young Hispanic nurse was kind enough and brought my aunt a table set he'd lunch on the table and I cut up her fish and spinach and she ate her lunch and drank her juice and water. May you have all nice positive empathetic employees to take care of the elderly although it may sometimes be difficult at times and may they get enjoyment and good pay as well from their jobs. Ive been to a couple of rehabilitation places but byfar Balboa is my favorite
Place. Staff is amazing. Their is one employee that overshines everyone. Efrain Moran is that man. One of nicest professionals in his class. This facility more of him. I would definitely recommend Moran to anyone. Keep up the great work.

Most other staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. My sister is getting good care at Balboa N&R Center.
