First off, the Admissions team should be military recruiters with how deceitful they are in order to get a client admitted. Everyone in my house was told they'd get their phones after 7 days, that we'd have an ocean view with incredible amenities, days full of therapy, fun outings, and collaborative involvement in our treatment... none of which were true.
We had 1 virtual therapist who is responsible for all Asana's residential & IOP clients (which we'd see for roughly 20-30mins a week), sporadic groups whenever a facilitator had time during their overloaded/fatigued schedule, and sitting in on the occasional AA/NA meeting. This is the extent of the "treatment program" Asana offers - Although they claim a luxury, comprehensive, personalized, dual diagnosis approach.
The staff are the only good thing about Asana; they go out of their way because they see first hand the magnitude of neglect taking place. The med tech's are of course also overworked (AND UNDERPAID!!) Asana's facilities are so critically understaffed they can barely maintain daily operations; which substantially compromises the quality of care. During my stay, a tech told me that it was morally & ethically taking a toll on them working there.
The CEO expects staff to "AMA block" and I put that in quotes directly from his words. He threatens to hold a clients' belongings for 72hrs if they try to AMA. On his demand, I witnessed a tech lock the office phone in the med closet to prevent a client from using it to AMA. When I attempted to AMA, the CEO required the tech to abruptly disconnect my phone call. During my stay at the Indian Wells residential house, I witnessed 4 AMA's (and I heard it was worse at their Center res. house). Staff are even rewarded for preventing a client from leaving AMA.
The CEO shows up for 2 hours a day, hides in his office and sneaks out to avoid the clients complaining and demanding better. For 2/3 of my stay he was using the facility's van for personal use, which in turn diminished our chance of ever being able to leave the house. If a client declined one of the rare & arbitrary outings, the CEO would punish by not allowing them to go on the next outing. When I declined going to church because I partake in different religion, I was told I couldn't go on the next "fun" outing. The CEO is an immense liar; he agrees to do something when he's confronted, but never follows through. He directed a facilitator to lie on their group notes in order to bill for a client that didn't actually participate in the group - and I'm sure that barely scratches the surface of insurance fraud taking place within this company.
The facilities at their IOP are repulsive & inhumane. They cram 9 people in one apartment, give an allowance of only $50/week for food, and the living quarters are absolutely appalling. Asana doesn't uphold their responsibility of maintaining a livable environment, nor do they aid in providing basic essentials.
Overall, Asana is milking insurance money while presenting their clients with scarce necessities, offering no type of structured program, and their ethics are questionable at best... but hey, at least the CEO has a new Tesla.

This treatment center is very recommendable to those who need help with their drinking habit or looking for just detox in California. Getting away from being an alcoholic is not easy, but this center has helped me get through it. They are the best alcohol detox center I know.
