Arizona College of Nursing

I started in 2021 in the gen ed program. From the beginning, the staff has been unorganized and rude. As they changed staff and improved their policies over the years, I have experienced a cleaner facility but worse interactions. There is no consistency, each professor creates their own rules/assignments and you are punished if you miss any small information. There are constant IT issues and disorganization from the professors, which we are expected to have patience and understanding but we are not shown the same respect. Since the beginning, I felt like just a number. They are quick to fail you and they choose who to give leniency and who they don't. I know of people who got caught cheating and they remain at the school, even getting awards for having great grades. I show up to school to purchase a new badge and I got written up for being "out of uniform". How is this equal treatment? The president knows nothing about nursing, he is a business man and only thinks about making money. The nurse, doctors who teach, and the Deans do not advocate for the student nurses, as we are taught to do (minus a few professor). I have worked extremely hard since 2021. My kids and I have struggled extremely to meet this schools requirements and the professors added requirements. Professor Ray is rude, disrespectful, and does not teach anything that will help us succeed in the class. I had challenges in life and IT issues that caused me to fail one online class, twice (due to 2 assignments only). In fear of failing the class, I reached out for help. The professor and Dean Walsh had no understanding nor did they offer support to help me prevent this failure. Instead, they kicked me out of the school "because it is policy". I have wasted almost 4 years of my life and will have to apply and start over at a different nursing school because credits do not transfer.

Arizona College of Nursing has been an amazing experience so far! I am so grateful for Miss Mayra, who has been so supportive and attentive throughout the entire process. She truly cares about helping students succeed. After years of taking unnecessary classes without clear guidance, I was relieved to find that this college provided me with a detailed plan on how to move forward with my nursing career. The staff is professional, respectful, and always willing to work with you. Just a heads up don’t forget to prepare for the HESI early! Overall, I highly recommend this college to anyone pursuing nursing.

I absolutely Love Arizona college of Nursing! I am glad to have chosen this college because it feels like the staff truly cares about your chosen careers. There are so many student resources that can assist you to thrive as a student. You have recorded lectures as well in case you missed anything in class, 24/7 tutoring offered, and a coach who helps guides you in your educational journey. I highly recommend!

Currently a student. School is fast paced but has great support. Most professors are helpful and thorough. The community you build with other classmates is great as it also helps you get through those tough classes. Lalo in financial aid is great and takes the time to really explain everything and sets future expectations. Overall great school.

I'm writing this for loved one as they don't want to get "punished" for this review. This school has caused nothing but problems for this individual. Just this last week alone, they were accused of cheating because they used a lined paper, instead of a blank sheet of paper (which under their policies it does not state any clarity)now they have to REDO THE 3 months of class work and get this - they also were accused of knowing too much? Isn't that what school is for? To learn as much as possible? Anyways, the professor did not mention to their students that the school will provide the paper they must use, and there is CLEAR conversations that had occurred proving the professor made a simple mistake. Yet, my dear loved one is getting bombarded with nonsense over a PAPER. A paper y'all. Anyways, this individual that my loved one spoke to was condescending to say the least, and made my loved one feel like a complete irrelevance and inconvenience and more than likely just saw a dollar sign. When defending themselves against the "paper policy" this dean was demanding a professors name and made it seem like the professors could get fired. BUT AGAIN, IN THE CONDUCT POLICY IT MENTIONS NO SUCH THING ABOUT LINED PAPER NOT BEING ALLOWED. Anyways, this review is meant for people to ALWAYS protect yourself and your education from this "college". This is a predatory and quite frankly, harmful. Good luck, you're going to need it.

Arizona College of Nursing is a great program because it offers a well-structured curriculum that thoroughly prepares students for their nursing careers. The faculty are knowledgeable and supportive, providing valuable insights and guidance. The hands-on clinical experience ensures practical application of skills learned in class. Overall, I’ve had a fantastic experience so far and the program effectively combines academic learning with real-world practice, making it an excellent choice for aspiring nurses.

Laurie Fernandez made the entire entrance process of nursing school so smooth and was extremely helpful with every question I had. Her encouragement throughout the process made me excited rather than fearful to begin this new journey.
