Thank you all so much for your excellent care. My mom is feeling so much better and much stronger now than when She started her PT with best physical therapist in the world “ Kala “ . it really is such a pleasure to spend time with Kala . Dear Kala , Your professionalism, concern and friendliness were much appreciated. My mother had become very weak after her stroke and dementia and hip fracture . Not only is Kala very kind and patient with her patients, she even brought so much joy and happiness to my mother, as if Kala was caring for her own grandmother. I am a doctor myself, I exactly know that It is very difficult to communicate with an elderly person who has Dementia , but Kala is so knowledgeable and so passionate to her all patients that she even encouraged my mother to do all exercises with joy and dance, even though my mother does not know any English at all. She really listens to everything that Kala wanted she does to make her stronger , thank you so much for reducing the risk of Falls in my mother’s life .

I went to Alhambra Valley PT so far 4 times & 6 more to go. They have helped my back very much so, on the underwater thread mill ,w/jets. At first was very sore. Like anyone else would be.
First time had the owner Joan very nice lady kinda quiet. Then I had Allen another very nice person but more talkative which I liked. I walked 1/4 mi in water which was amazing. After you can shower ( recommend) then had the tens machine & heat pad on back felt very good.
The only thing I really didn’t care for is that place of business is kinda cluttered needed to be more organized. .Told the owner the pool looked dirty but she explained to be why there was black particles in pool & it made since. All the employee are very lovely people.
I do recommend this place for PT you won’t be disappointed believe me & also very helpful helping you get your water shoes on & privacy for changing clothes . Thx Alhambra Valley Physical Therapy.

Filthy. They reuse electrodes between patients on their machine, the pool is always cloudy. There is dust everywhere. There is junk everywhere. The linens are falling apart. Their poor fish tank is filthy. There is absolutely no pride in this place. I have been passed from therapist to therapist and they don’t even remember who I am or what I am working on. No humanity. Missed one appointment and they are charging me, and the receptionist refused to put me in touch with the right person. So sick of everyone saying I’m just doing my job and refusing to help and getting charged for every little thing.

What I like the most In going here is their professionalism. Knowledge and competence in listening to your needs and getting the job done. Joan Has healing hands and if you could be treated by her just once in your lifetime , she is a subject matter expert and you will find pain relief soon thereafter. The office staff is efficient and caring .I am so glad I found this gem in the East Bay!

The physical therapists at Alhambra Valley Physical Therapy in Pleasant Hill, CA, are outstanding! They are experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated, compassionate, and sincerely care about their patients getting better. When I first walked into their office, I was miserable. I felt like a broken Humpty Dumpty that couldn’t be put back together again. I was in incredible pain and had lost all hope that I would ever get better. Within the first 2 sessions, I was already on the mend and feeling incredible. My hope had returned.

Other physical therapy establishments treat up to 3-4 patients at a time and seem to be more interested in maximizing their profits than their patient’s health, recovery, and rehabilitation. That was my experience at my last physical therapy facility. When I work with the physical therapists at Alhambra Valley Physical Therapy, however, I feel that I have a one-on-one session with a totally dedicated therapist who routinely observes my behavior and continually adjusts my therapy to optimize my rehabilitation. Their facility offers physical therapy options that other physical therapy facilities do not - such as aquatic physical therapy. Their facility has also been family owned and operated since 1986 and I feel that they truly care about my recovery as they would care about a beloved family member’s recovery.

I will be completing my physical therapy soon and I believe that they have done the impossible. They have not only put Humpty Dumpty back together again, but it as though I was never broken or in such intense pain prior to entering their facility. I strongly recommend Alhambra Valley Physical Therapy. My sister, brother-in-law, and friend had to go to physical therapy at other facilities at the same time that I went to Alhambra Valley Physical Therapy. There was no comparison. I truly received physical therapy care worth a rating of 20 on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best possible) at Alhambra Valley Physical Therapy.

I recently completed 8 months of rigorous therapy at AVPT to deal with the effects of diabetic amyotrophy, which is a debilitating and painful condition that prevented me from walking without assistance. My PT, Ka'aala Cheney was outstanding in providing me with the therapy I needed. She was patient, focused and supportive and guided me literally every step along the way. In fact, all the staff at AVPT from Joan Arieta, the Director, to Nolan, Nate and Elizabeth were so friendly and supportive. I credit all of them with helping me fully recover. Also, the operation is well run and clean. I highly recommend them.

Great staff! All of them are very nice and caring. They take the time to find out exactly what is hurting and go the extra mile to help. Very knowledgeable and overall a better experience than I have had at other physical therapy businesses.

Absolutely love it here. First off, all the staff are friendly. I'm not going to mention any names for fear that my PT will get all booked up!!!😉I've had issues for the passed 15 years and never have had such a competent, caring and knowledgeable healer as I have found at AVPT!
