Love love love Dr Lawrence! She is very knowledgeable and she listens to your input on treatment. I drive an hour for my child to be seen by her. I would drive 3 hours if I had to!

This is the worst doctor I've ever seen. Do not bring your children to this doctor. They will make false allegations against you and try to testify to things that are out of their depth. Most unprofessional doctors office I've ever dealt with. My children will be removed from your services. All they do is pump them full of medications that can stunt their learning instead of getting to the root of the problem.

I have never seen a pediatric “Dr” be so rude and belittling!!! First time ever seeing Linda Lawrence and it was THE LAST! She was definitely not “kid friendly” to begin with. Made me feel like we were wasting her time. Didn’t take any notes on my questions or comments about my daughter’s history of ear infections. Was very quick and rushed it seemed. When I had questions, she made me feel so ignorant. I will tell the office manager all that was said because it was very, very rude and uncalled for. She raised her voice at my daughter. Knowing my girl was sick and didn’t feel well. She made me feel like it was so crazy of me to want a Covid test for my daughter. Said her ear was infected but it wasn’t until the end, when I had to ask what she was giving her, that she told me what she was prescribing. The questions I had about other medications I may give her resulted in her giving me a “duh, confused” look like I was dumb for asking. She told me a could give her Motrin and Tylenol at the same time and I questioned her as I wanted to be sure that was okay for my child being so young and tiny. After getting these responses, I believe she could tell I was not at all satisfied about her “ bed-side manner” and she then began to say, “ Is there anything else you had questions on. “ I just nodded and said no thanks. I will only be coming back to see my daughters regular NP, which HAS AWESOME patience and a caring attitude towards her. When your children are sick or don’t feel well, the last person/ “Dr” you want them to come see is Linda Lawerence.

Yesterday I took my child in to see dr Lawrence and she sent him to do chest x rays. I was really nervous and ended up calling and speaking with the on call nurse. The on call nurse was absolutely amazing. Her and dr Lawrence went above and beyond for my peace of mind and making sure my baby was ok! I can’t thank you enough! Best pediatrician in Albemarle hands down!

I have never been more disappointed in my life! After taking my children to this practice for nearly 10 YEARS we unfortunately will be switching pediatric offices. The practice was great 8 years ago but now I would not recommend them. For the last 6 months every time I have had to call the office to try to get an appointment it is pure chaos. You can never get through on the phone line anymore and when you do get through you get transferred to three or four different office clerks and have to repeat the information over and over. Not to mention the clerks just click you over without even saying “please hold”. Their office management should be replaced because the system they have is not efficient to the patients. We have always loved Dr. Lawrence but she seems to never have any availability anymore (over taking and booking patients once again) therefore we get bounced around to several different providers which causes more chaos and unneeded stress. (Children already hate going to the doctor, why would you bounce them around to different providers? Let them get use to one or two providers so they feel safe). The bottom line is this practice has lost its respect for their patients, even a loyal patient that has been going there for over 10 years. Don’t waste your time trying to become a new patient here, they DO NOT CARE about your children and treat you as if you can be replaced at any given moment. I do not know about you, but my children deserve better than that!

Love doctor Lawrence. She was my doctor form birth in 91 and my kids since they were born. She saved my life at 15. LOVE the staff. Nurses are wonderful. Easy to make appointments. Just wonderful.

I only gave it 3 stars because every time I try and call them it immediately hangs up and says user busy. It’s so hard to get thru to their office to make an appointment, etc. I also only have it 3 stars because they won’t allow me to make an appointment for siblings at the same time. If I need to bring in 2 of my children for something they won’t allow me to bring them at the same time, which is frustrating when you have multiple kids. The staff are polite and make my kids feel safe. Wait times are minimal, which is good and I feel comfortable with all the doctors. Besides the concerns I listed above, this office is a good clinic.

Doctors are great! Wait times are somewhat long, I understand there are a lot of little patients to be seen. I was not thrilled with a phone conversation that I had with a Front Desk representative. My child was sick so I called to schedule her to be seen the same day. I specifically told the patient rep that I would prefer the appointment to be after 2:00 pm. She offered 11:10 am to which I again asked if there was anything after 2. Her exact words were "Why do you need a later appointment." I felt this was very un-professional, and rude. It is no one's business why I need a later appointment, and it was really frustrating to have to explain myself to get the appointment time that I needed. Other than that my experience with Alb Ped has been pleasant...
