The staff positivity when I walk into the office all the way to the highly professional care tailored to training me to help myself without surgical intervention is phenomenal. This team from start to finish has continued to guide me through my recovery process by giving me every workout, manipulation, massage, and the "why" behind my treatment in order to self heal. I trust the doctors here because they work tirelessly, and are passionate, about improving my quality of life. In the event that I needed a surgery I would trust their recommendation and know I exhausted all resources prior to it!

EXCELLENT care! I've been seeing Dan for Chiropractic care since 2018. I was unable to really move or walk more than 10 min to now I am walking for 2-3 min, doing Pilates. Dan is HUGE on education to get you on the right path. I had to do some physical therapy with Lindsey for 6 months, and now I have moved onto Pilates with Sara. I am a whole NEW person!. I appreciate the personal care I get.

The staff’s flexibility and accommodation in scheduling was much appreciated. I left with a renewed confidence in my ability to avoid future muscle strain; Dr. Andrew was very attentive and kind. In the (hopefully unlikely) event that I’ll be needing another appointment for back pain, this clinic & Dr. Andrew will be my first choice.

My lower back was bugging me like crazy and one beautiful Saturday afternoon I found myself lying in bed because of the pain. I thought, this is ridiculous! At my wife's urging I made an appointment and went to Alaska Brain and Spine. I've been to other chiropractors who have cracked my back before but this was totally different. Dr. Josh diagnosed the issue very quickly and manipulated different areas in my pelvis and lower back. I'll admit it was uncomfortable and I whined about it. Immediately, however, I began to get relief. The pain continued to subside over the next two days and totally went away and I felt AWESOME! Thank you AK B&S - love you guys!

I saw Dr. Costello for a hurt shoulder and was extremely impressed with both the quality of service and professional atmosphere at this clinic. My shoulder had a slight adjustment and is feeling better than ever. If you are looking for a chiropractor I highly recommend Alaska Brain and Spine!!

Dr. Dan is one of the most thorough chiropractor I have seen. His appointment is not your typical 10 minute adjustment. He takes the time to assess imbalances and works to correct them. AK Brain and Spine also offers Pilates, massage and physical therapy. I refer all my friends to Alaska Brain and Spine!

When I started seeing Dr. Josh Costello, I thought he was a chiropractor and he could make my back feel better. He did that very well. I casually mentioned that I had been suffering from migraines most of my life. He asked if he could try something and I said "yes, of course". This started a pattern where over the next few years, I casually mentioned pain and numbness in my hand that I already had carpel tunnel surgery scheduled for, neuropathy in my left calf, a bulged disk in my neck that was causing weakness in my right arm, pain in my left rotator cuff that needed surgery, pain in my left knee, that needs to be replaced with a new knee, and that I have essential tremor that causes my head to nod uncontrollably. One by one, he and his brother, Dan Costello, have helped with each of these problems without surgery! I've gone from weekly migraines to a few a year, I don't even think I need the rotator cuff surgery anymore. My knee is much better and I still need a replacement but it is no longer my ONLY choice. My tremor is becoming more controllable and my lower back pain is manageable now. These two and every other person that works there have changed my life for the better in so many ways. They are a true Dream Team. I don't want to go back to my life in Fairbanks without this particular group of professionals. They are unmatched in technique, knowledge, caring, professionalism and in giving hope where there was none before.

Dr. Dan & staff delivered stellar patient service from the initial conversation to schedule, through their explanation of planned care and benefits. While they specialize in complex problem treatment, we'll be optimizing my already healthy starting point with wellness care and prevention. Check out the clinic, and get checked out!
