I have a family member that has lived at AgeCare Columbia for over 3 1/2 years. I think it's a wonderful facility for both independent living and assisted living. The environment is very welcoming, the staff are awesome, the facility is well taken care of (the smoking issue spoken about in one review has long since been remedied) and there are a variety of activities to participate in if you feel so inclined. I feel very confident that my family member is being taken care of there. In fact, I hope to live there some day too! Take a tour and see for yourself!

This is an extremely poor age care facility, there are garbage and cigarette packs all over the road and their facility.
My husband and I were driving and saw an old man laying on the ground in the middle of the road and no one even knew he was out there.
We ran into the facility and no one was there, (anyone could have just walked in, and done anything they wanted) we finally got two nurses and they walked out to the road and couldn't get him up. We waited for a second to make sure they got him up, however instead, they left him on the road and both walked away, we then yelled after them and they said we are going to get a wheelchair...... both of them need to go while he is laying on the road? I then suggested one stay with him, and they said fine. I do not recommend this facility, there is no level of care, safety, or competence with the staff or the facility as a whole, We have talked to the general manager many times and she lacks all levels of understanding & she shows very little concern with every situation. We will not be associating with this "care" facility again.
