The level of expertise that Cindy and her team have to offer is outstanding. I had an mtb accident with a shoulder injury that would not heal after a few months of allowing time to heal it. I came into Cindy with a painful and nearly frozen shoulder that interfered with sleep 3 months post accident. While I am still under therapy (just started a few weeks ago), the improvement in pain relief and increased mobility is at least 80% better! Within the first week of treatment, I was able to sleep without interruption. Cindy and her team treat you in person and provide an at home practical plan that they teach you to do (with videos you can easily login to see at home if you need further instruction).

By far the best physical therapy with real results I’ve ever experienced! Having had significant injuries following a car accident I have been to countless physical therapists over the years. Most of the them just take up my time and never give me any true results. Both PT’s I went to at Active Marin were fantastic and have truly helped me for the first time. Can’t recommend enough!!

Expensive equivalent to information that can be easily found on the internet. The therapist was kind, but did not give me any information on my initial evaluation (which is an extra charge). I didn’t feel I was thoroughly evaluated. There were no means of measurement used. I felt the analysis lacked anything substantial. I was simply shown a few exercises (that I was already implementing) and given a print out of the exercises with instructions. Again, expensive google-able information. Save your money and go to a personal trainer who specializes in therapeutic exercises. I wish they had offered a consultation so that I could determine that it was not a good fit before wasting hundreds of dollars. Front desk staff is unprofessional and undertrained. They and the owner will harass you by phone if you don’t immediately return a voicemail within the hour.

Cynthia is an excellent physical therapist. She knows the bodies intricacies inside and out. She’s an excellent cheerleader and she has a wealth of knowledge. I’m so lucky and blessed to have her as my therapist. I’ve learned so much about alignment and care and how to treat my body in a way that will last me a lifetime. I’m very grateful.!!
The front desk receptionists genuinely care about every client that walks in the door. They are kind and engaging. Active Marin is a true gem and I’m so thankful I found them.

If I could give them a 100 star rating, I would!!!!

I am so grateful for the help from Hanna at Active Marin in helping me recover after a trail running injury had caused persistent knee pain for months and wasn't improving. She was very thorough in her analysis of the issue and put together an easy to follow training plan that started immediately helping. The knee pain is now gone and I also feel stronger and more balanced than before. I was able to run best ever half marathon with a time of 1:21. I also ran my first Marathon and reached my goal of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

I was extremely happy with everyone involved at Active Marin. From the moment I made an appointment to entering the place, which conveyed really sound Covid protocols and cleanliness, I felt in good hands. Charlene and Shawn, at the front desk , are friendly, efficient, and easy to work with.

Jason was the physical therapist I worked with, except for one time . He is smart, warm, listens well , works collaboratively. He is resourceful in diagnosing what will help, explaining how to do the exercises, and then noticing what needs to shift for maximum benefit. He has a good sense of humor, which helps. He is always actively thinking. He is also very talented in doing physical adjustments as well. I recovered from a total hip replacement faster and much better than I ever expected with Jason's help. I will definitely come back to Jason whenever I need physical therapy in the future.

One time I saw Cindy, who also suggested useful exercises and did some physical adjusting that helped. All in all, everyone at Active Marin Physical Therapy works collaboratively and constructively to get one fluidly moving and living again. Thank you very much.

I'm not sure where I'd be without Active Marin. After injuring my back, I set about a long, slow recovery with (at least) weekly treatments. While I mostly saw Cindy during my months of treatment, the entire clinic is invested in the clients' recovery. The place has a family feel to it. Physical Therapy is not the kind of appointment people typically look forward to...but I did. Week after week, month after month, Cindy and her staff worked with me, listened to me, made adjustments, and yes, practiced a little tough love. I jokingly told my friends that Cindy was a magician, as she worked on my body and made the pain disappear. Even as I've progressed to the point where I no longer need to go into the clinic, Cindy and staff still check in on me. That's not only rare...it's pretty much unheard of. I hope that I never need PT again, but I'm grateful to know Active Marin exists. I tell everyone I know to go when they are in need.

I started physical therapy at Active Marin Therapy one week after having injections in my cervical spine for pinched nerves in my neck. My doctor had written a script for physical therapy for shoulder mobility only. However, the physical therapist manipulated my neck in an effort to get it to turn more, which was contrary to the doctor's orders, resulting in severe neck pain that I am still dealing with. I had another therapy session scheduled for the following Monday afternoon but was still in pain after the weekend and cancelled my afternoon appointment early Monday morning. I was charged for the session because I didn't cancel it on Friday! When I explained that my neck pain was the result of the prior session and caused by the therapist, I received no empathy. Lessons learned - don't let any therapist do anything that isn't specially indicated in the therapy script, and make sure that you cancel a Monday appointment by Friday since you'll be charged for the missed appointment even if you are in pain and not physically able to go to therapy.
