Acera Health in Costa Mesa, California, has been an absolute blessing for my daughter, who has been struggling with bipolar disorder, depression, an eating disorder, and chemical dependency.

From the moment of her first contact with them, she was met with kindness, patience, and genuine empathy from the staff.
Their professionalism is unparalleled, and they make it a point to keep lines of communication open, ensuring that families and loved ones are always informed and involved in the treatment process.

But what truly sets Acera apart is their dedication to truly listening to their patients. C.K., in particular, has been a godsend in our journey. His kindness and compassion shine through in every interaction, and he went above and beyond to really understand my daughter's unique struggles and provide support. And I can't forget to mention William, her case manager, whose support and understanding has been very instrumental. My daughter absolutely adores him. Her therapist meets my daughter at her needs and answers texts and phone calls at all hours to make sure that she is okay. My daughter is a big fan of hers. Additionally, the group facilitators and BHT's check in with my daughter frequently and provide excellent advice and have made a large impact in her overall recovery.

What I appreciate most about Acera is their holistic approach to treatment. They understand that healing involves more than just addressing symptoms; it's about treating the whole person. Their customized treatment plans cater to individual needs, and the amazing group outings they organize foster a sense of community and belonging among patients.

Though my daughter is still in residential treatment, the transformation I've seen in her is already impressive. She's learning invaluable coping strategies, forming meaningful connections with her therapists, and, perhaps most importantly, getting back her confidence and rediscovering joy in her life.

This is the fifth treatment center my daughter has been to, and this is the only one that she has liked and wanted to stay at. She really likes all of the staff, her therapist, and her housemates. It is rare that I have seen this kind of positivity from her. I believe that because of all of these things combined, she is finally willing to do the necessary work to get herself on a better and healthier path.

Acera Health has given us something we thought we had lost: hope. For that, I will be forever grateful. If you're seeking compassionate, comprehensive care for yourself or a loved one, look no further than Acera Health. They're truly lifesavers and gamechangers.

I came to Acera and had the best experience I had been going through trials and tribulations after being diagnosed with bipolar. No medications were working and I had been in and out of the hospital without Acera I would still be in Atlanta struggling. I was able to get off several medications and finally be put on the right dose and combination! Mickey made the admission process easy for my parents and helped them make the best decision ever for me. Yolanda made a huge impact on me she was so genuine and concerning about my well being and motivating. Other staff I truly appreciate were Nicole Jeff Serena Eric and Charles they were great BHTs. I truly consider Acera a family and believe if you need help with getting your mental health right this is the place!!!

I have so many positive things to say about this facility that I do not even know where to start. I have suffered with mental health for years, around 10 to be exact. I have cycled through more therapists than I can count on my fingers, I have been inpatient and outpatient at different facilities, but none of them impacted my life like Acera. I am truly impressed with the team of professionals Acera has, I am not even sure how this facility managed to get all the best in one place. As someone who isn't new to mental health facilities or mental health professionals, I was blown away. During the process of admittance into Acera, I remember being told clients usually stay in program from anywhere between 3-6 months. At the time I was thinking, 'they're ridiculous if they think I'll be there for any longer than a month tops,' that was over 6 months ago and I just completed the program. I honestly wish I could've stayed longer, but unfortunately insurance exists. With all that being said, I have so much gratitude and love for this establishment and it's staff. My therapist in program, Rose, is the most knowledgable, friendly, silly and skilled therapist I have ever met. She will open so many doors in your mind that you never even knew existed, even someone who has been deep in the pits for half of their life. She brings a new level of care to the field, one I hope to see more of in the coming years. The selfish side of me wishes she had an independent practice because I would quickly choose her again and again and again. I've never in my life been excited to go to therapy, seek help or talk about my traumas, but for the professionals at this facility, I'd sing happily sing like a canary. They made me feel like I was their family, not just a client. I have always felt uncomfortable with mental health professionals because I never really felt cared for, loved or valued, I just felt like another paycheck. I can promise you that won't happen here. Am I cured of my mental health challenges? No, not at all. But I am definitely in a better place, more educated and more motivated to keep myself on the path to healing that Acera guided me to. I know this review is basically an essay now.. but the last thing I'll say is that if you feel like you or someone you love needs mental health assistance, I HIGHLY recommend getting in touch with Acera. I have already recommended it to so many people and I will continue to do so. Stay strong <3

Everyone at Acera is so professional, kind, caring and overall wonderful. Their program helped my son regain his laughter and love of life. After completing the program he has the tools to deal with issues when they arrive before getting overwhelmed. It is so amazing to have my funny, loving, caring son back.

I am so thankful for the care they provided my son. I know that these tools will stay with him for his lifetime. I hope that everyone at Acera knows how much they are appreciated and that what they do is making a lasting impression on the patients that are lucky enough to be part of the Acera program.

The short version of the story is that Acera Health saved my life. Hand's down, 100%, no one that knows me would say anything different. I recently completed 145 days of their program, going from PHP down to OP levels of care. I was completely given my life back. I learned life skills I had never thought about before, and now i am able to exist with much less stress, no anxiety, no depression, no OCD, and I am so grateful to be alive. The staff there is the absolute greatest, every staff member truly cares about your well being and goes above and beyond to make sure you are getting the most out of their program and staying on track. They are incredibly professional, with a well planned schedule, accurate reporting and note-taking, and all of the staff members really work in tandem to provide the support that you need at any given moment. My family and I are so lucky to have found them. Before I even was a client there, their marketing director Mickey helped us find a residential care facility that was covered by my insurance (this was before Acera opened their residential programs). He spent about eight hours on the phone finding me a program that worked for me, just to be helpful. I am a musician and thought I would never play onstage again and now I am touring the country and working as a performer full time, something I thought I would never do again. I will sing Acera's praises forever and I made friends there that will last a lifetime. If you or anyone you know is struggling with any sort of mental health issues do not hesitate to call and just find out if their program might be a good fit. It can absolutely change your life.

Acera is hands down the most professional and successful mental health program in orange county. During a criss the marketing manager, and yes I am sure hes the marketing manager, not even a clinician, spent almost an entire day helping me vet residential programs ( before theirs was open). When my family member was ready for outpatient they were ready and waiting. They had everything ready before they got there for a perfectly smooth transition with no gaps and no endless re telling of the crisis that led them there or going over their meds and med changes over and over. Acera has an actual organized and clinically relevant program with a clear beginning and end, unlike most places. They have an actual cirriculum for the clients to complete that is meaningful and relevant to each individual. At Acera every single professional was genuinely invest in the client getting better, it almost didnt' seem like they were even working for money. After graduating the program and I can honestly say they changed my family members life from absolute dispair and hopelessness to happy/healthy/productive. If you yourself are considering ACERA I can assure you that there is absolutely no better place to recover.
