Today my daughter , son in law and myself toured Gold Country Living. I was blown away at the cleanliness, beauty and quality of the facility. We viewed all of the available apartment options and I am going to select the 2bdm 1 bath in building 3. The residents I spoke to were friendly and every single one of them had nothing but positive comments and experiences living there. The setting is beautiful and I will have a lovely view. Now the hard part, closing out and selling my current residence. I have every confidence everything will fall neatly into place. I am floored to be able to say happily I am looking forward to the move. On with the adventure!!!

I visited Gold County Senior Living because I was looking for a place for my mom. First, the people who work there were all very friendly and open. The people who live there were also kind and welcoming too. Repeatedly, residents would stop and tell me how happy they are to live there.
After my mom moved in, I had dinner in the dining room with my mom. Not only was the food tasty, people came by our table and welcomed my mom and encouraged her as she adjusts to her new living arrangements.
Jill and the other staff are awesome. I’m really glad we chose Gold Country. It’s working out really well!

I worked in the kitchen and when I say it disgusting it absolutely horrid! There is mold growing in all corners and the cook, chefs, and preps don’t keep a clean environment. The supervisor missy in the kitchen vapes in the office and the kitchen and never wears a hairnet, the dishwasher leaves the dish pit a disgusting mess and never fully sanitizes the dishes and there’s boxes of food, juices, and plastic cutlery on the grounds wish is not safe! The employees here talk horribly about the resident and speak badly about there conditions! This is not a place you want your loved ones to be taken care of!

Placerville is beautiful especially downtown. The facility is okay. I was there for eight months. The staff go out of their way to help and contribute to your experience.

There was a change in operations management. They hiked the prices TWICE while I was there.

Additionally, my stove never worked nor stove top never worked. Setting up internet was and continued to be an un-functional nightmare. In my time there, it was never continuously working.

Again the Staff and the cooks are AMAZING. MANAGEMENT is suspect at best. The Sales department- if it’s Jill, run away

There are so many friendly, competent, caring staff members--I can't name them all, but from the dining room servers to the activities staff, Gold Country is a desirable place to live. The food is surprisingly good, served with class, and with attention to nutrition as well as taste. I am glad to bring my friend to play piano for residents twice a week. We enjoy the atmosphere.

My parents lived there for 17 years. I felt very comforted with them there. Some people complain, and of course it's hard, but your life is what you make it, and my parents did just that. They were very active there. My dad died in the skilled nursing section 4 years ago tomorrow and couldn't have had better care. I just love all the employees there. I'm thankful you were there for my parents. It's a wonderful community.
