When I was referred to Tomi at Anderson Physical Therapy my friend, a retired nurse, said, “Tomi is a genius.” She is right! Following a broken ankle and then, later, extensive ankle and foot surgery and residual back issues, I received tremendous care from Tomi. She was an attentive listener, competent and professional technician and compassionate guide in my regaining complete health. I felt confident in her thorough care and looked forward to my sessions with her. I also was treated by Phil in years past with equal confidence and success. The entire Anderson Team is just great – cheerful, helpful, capable! Anderson PT is a beautiful space to be in, both physically and because the folks there make everyone feel safe and welcome. I highly recommend Anderson Physical Therapy!

I have been going to Anderson Physical Therapy, on and off, for a couple of years in response to a serious leg and foot injury due to a fall while on vacation. I worked with Ingrid Bhend, (since retired), and with James Belch, both of whom were caring, professional, extremely helpful, and a pleasure to work with.

Additionally, my husband was under Ingrid's care following knee replacement surgery a few years ago. He was also impressed with the level of therapy he received, and insists that it was head and shoulders above what he found at two other local physical therapy businesses.

Anderson Physical Therapy treats patients as individuals, carefully tailoring treatment plans to doctor prescriptions and individual abilities.
Notes are taken and the patient moves on from where things were left at the previous visit.

All in all, Anderson is the best place we know about in Nevada County.
We continue to be impressed with its level of service and its overall friendly atmosphere.

I highly recommend Anderson Physical therapy! I have had a few joint surgeries in the past few years and they helped rehab me back to health every time. I've worked with Phil and Tomi most and think they are wonderful. They listen to me and are very kind and compassionate in addition to being very knowledgeable about different therapeutic techniques and are always helpful problem solving specific situations that come up during my recovery process. I love that the therapy rooms are private and the atmosphere is warm and inviting and soothing and relaxing while having ultra sound or e-stim therapy. They have a lot of equipment that is helpful to use as well. The entire staff is very helpful and super efficient. It is a great team of providers. A+ all the way!

I went to Anderson Physical Therapy after having two ankle surgeries on the recommendation of a friend who also had 2ankle surgeries and went to A.P.T. with good results.
I have been to several Physical Therapists over the years as I have also had 2 knee replacements and other joint issues resulting from being hit by a car. I can without hesitation say, I would only recommend Anderson’s, especially James, as he is the one I worked directly with both times.
It is not “cookie cutter” therapy, where what works for one, works for all. James listened to unique issues I had, was able to identify the problem, and work specially on the problem.
I also enjoyed the overall atmosphere. The whole team at Anderson’s is just that, a team. They work together fluidly, and cheerfully. Everyone showing a personal interest.

i had bilateral hip replacements at age 43. i went to another PT place first, and knew right away it was not the quality of care and attention that i needed. i moved my rehab over to Anderson, and it was exactly what i needed. Great staff and wonderful range of treatments, and my main physical therapist was the absolute perfect person for me.

In the 1990s, I was referred to Phil Andersen for a chronic issue in my shoulder. Prior to working with Phil, I had limited range of motion and pain in that shoulder for over seven years. With regular physical therapy and following his recommendations for exercises I could do at home, he helped me get that shoulder back to almost 100% range of motion without pain. Since that time, whenever I have had an issue that I could not resolve on my own, I have seen Phil or other therapists in his practice. I have always benefited greatly from their expertise. Whether it was my knees, my lower back, or an injury to my collar bone, Phil and his staff have always taken great care of me! Though I am retired now, I worked for over 20 years as a massage therapist in private practice in Nevada County. I have referred many, many clients and friends to Andersen Physical Therapy, all with great results. I do not hesitate recommending Anderson Physical Therapy to anyone in need.

I've known about Anderson Physical Therapy for some time Their name comes up often at South Yuba Club. Last October I had my knee replaced and six weeks later started therapy at Anderson's. I started barely able to straighten my leg at less than -15 degrees, six weeks later I was at -1 degree. It is now perfectly straight.
Their facility is clean, the therapists are very competent and the atmosphere is fun. I recommend them without reservation.

In January 2020 I damaged the rotator cuff in my right shoulder due to a sudden pull on the leash by my 65 lb. dog. This also is the same arm that I have had extensive surgery due to breast cancer resulting in some lymphedema, so my right arm and shoulder were in bad shape. The rotator damage was extremely painful and initially I was unable to move my arm at all. My primary physician confirmed the problem and recommended physical therapy for the rotator cuff. My husband had required pt a few years ago and had been recommended to Anderson Physical Therapy. He received excellent care and said I should go to Anderson as well. It was the excellent choice. My therapist was Tomi Corbett who was perfect for my situation and needs. She assessed with complete accuracy the extent of my rotator cuff damage, planned the right program to progressively strengthen/repair the damage -- real progress was made week to week. And in addition to the rotator damage, Tomi understood and worked on therapy for the lymphedema in my arm! Tomi was so caring and understanding of this secondary problem. She Incorporated exercises to help alleviate this uncomfortable problem...I didn't expect this much needed and appreciated help...but I got it and I am more than thrilled with my experience at Anderson Physical Therapy...it was a complete success! My rotator cuff is completely healed/full mobility restored and at home I continue to improve/impact the lymphedema by doing the exercises Tomi taught me. I ABSOLUTELY recommend Anderson Physical Therapy 100% without hesitation!
