My visit to Dr. Buffington office in West Memphis, AR. Today was the third and last time that I visited this location. I went in to have a chipped tooth repaired that he just repaired last Thursday. I had concerns about the fact that he made my gap bigger than it was before I actually came to him, and the fact that I could feel where there was a cavity before that was supposed to be fixed. I never got to talk to him about this because he literally shoved a rubber teeth divider in my mouth in the middle of me trying to talk to him. He started on the tooth right away without numbing me. I layed there hugging myself trying to take the uncomfortable-ness of him drilling on my tooth, cold water being squirted with the air from the straw, and him putting the uv light to my tooth. I had to wave my hand in the air for him to stop the torture that he was putting me through. He asked me why am I waving my hand, I explained that it was uncomfortable. I couldn't believe what he did next. He grabbed my dental bib, tore a small hole in it and put the napkin in my mouth so that the tooth could hang out of the hole. He continued to drill and asked me if it was better. I told him that it wasn't, and Im sure my body language showed that, he just didnt care. He then numbed the area explaining he was almost done. (He doesn't care if you are scared of needles, he doesn't and did not prep or warm me up, he goes right in with the needle.) 2 minutes later he asked me how does it look. l looked in the mirror, tired to talk to him about my gap being bigger than it was before I started coming to him. Basically a pointless small argument of him saying its my fault started, and a plot to get more money out of me saying I need crowns? This man actually have the nerves to grab my face forcefully to basically talk to me like I'm stupid...pure disrespect. I can now stick my tongue between my front tooth thanks to this guy, and all he could say is me putting my tongue there is spreading it more... I seriously doubt that. Ive had the same gap all my life til now. He pointed the finger at me, even the fact that my tooth chipped less than a week after he fixed it is my fault. I guess the fact that he put 3 different colors on my front tooth is my fault too. (The second visit a1 and a2, the third visit a3,) I'm stuck with this in the front of my mouth til I find a certified Dentist who won't treat me like crap... at least thats how I feel right now and I know this isnt right. No one pays a dentist to rush on them to put unnatural feeling teeth in their mouth. I don't know if its the fact that I'm a woman, or that I'm black, but I'll for sure taking my business elsewhere. Think twice before visiting this office seriously!
