I’ve been using Pharmsouth for several years simply because of the professionalism and knowledge of the staff and pharmacist.

I don’t live in the area however I drive over the mountain because they are so good and kind to me. I’m not just another client of theirs, I’m their friend and they call me by name when I walk in.

I’ve had two surgeries in the past few years and the pharmacist went out of their way to hand deliver the prescriptions to me.

Honestly, I love this pharmacy located in the beautiful Mount Laurel neighborhood.
From day one it’s been nothing but a great experience for me.

If you’re looking for a pharmacy who genuinely cares about you, this is where you should be going for your pharmacy needs.
I promise you’ll be glad you did!

This is a highly unreliable group who completely misrepresents the promptness of their service.

My dermatologist, Alabama Dermatology Associates, recommended I use this group and sent a needed prescription to them to fill for me. As of this writing, Pharm South has missed their initial deadline in providing the needed medication while their delivery system, Nimble Rx, has stated that I will not receive the medication for three weeks after ordering it. So much for the prompt service promised in their flier given to me by my doctor. When I phoned this pharmacy to see when I would receive my medication, I was told they haven't yet prepared it, even though Nimble Rx states that my prescription is on its way.

Disappointed with Service and Communication

I recently had a frustrating experience with Farmouth Pharmacy. After waiting two weeks for a prescription I ordered, I finally received the package today. Initially, I opted to pick it up in person—an hour-long drive for me—only to find out they had run out of stock. That was a major inconvenience, but they assured me it would be shipped within 2–3 days. Instead, it took about a week, during which I had to call repeatedly to follow up, as their communication was poor and unhelpful.

In-person, the staff lacked warmth and hospitality. They were just cordially polite, with no effort to make the situation better or even acknowledge my frustration. The real disappointment came when I realized the prescription my doctor provided was incorrect (an honest mistake on her part). Despite the box being unopened and in its original condition, Farmouth Pharmacy refused a return, refund, or even a credit exchange, citing their policies. While I understand protocol, the way they handled the situation felt dismissive.

To make matters worse, the rep I spoke to was no help at all, and while the pharmacist apologized, he simply reiterated the policy without offering any real solution. The tone of both interactions was lacking in empathy or understanding.

I used to go to The Compounding Shop in Vestavia, where the staff were always friendly, professional, and accurate. The difference in service is night and day. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to PharmSouth Pharmacy. This experience left me feeling upset, disappointed, and incredibly annoyed. I hope they improve their communication, customer service, and ability to accommodate situations like these in the future, again I get protocol but a credit with returned product could have been an exception. There is an exception to every rule.

Placed an order a week ago. I called yesterday (Tuesday ) and was told it was sent Monday. I even mentioned the tracking doesn’t show this. David assured me it was on the way. No movement Wednesday night at 5pm (the day before a holiday) and he told me they were shipping today and I should get it Friday or Saturday. After reading the reviews, it seems to be a common problem. Telling you what you want to hear but it’s just a lie to get you off the phone. My dermatologist really talked this place up and said they would overnight for free. Well, it’s not free and I’d be even more upset if I had paid for it.

These people know what it’s all about. Exceptional service like I’ve never experienced. I would fill all of my prescriptions here if I lived in the area but always look forward to reordering my face cream!

Horrible service. They were out of a drug I needed, they recommended a compound that was 3 times the price. I went ahead and decided to use the drug that they offered. Personally Called it in even went with the 90 day supply, asked the lady on the phone , do you need anything else? No, you should get it in a couple days. Then every day, for a week, a pharmacist called confused ?. After several phone calls of getting more and more frustrated. I called to speak to the manager, who was very rude. Allison . Did not listen! Did not offer to solve the problem. Argued instead. Don’t waste your money or time with these rude, unprofessional, people. I’ve now been without my medication for over a month. They still don’t have a clue. They should’ve apologized and got things right!

I love that my medication can be mailed to me without ANY issues!!!!!!! PharmSouth Pharmacy is the best Pharmacy I have ever dealt with, and the staff are ALWAYS extremely nice and willing to assist! 10/10!

This pharmacy has outdone itself in customer service. On point, quick to fix an error and correct insurance issues, you can hear the smile in the voices over the phone and they even went above and beyond to get my mother her RX to her faster than expected (even though there was a delay on my part). Plan on using this pharmacy from here on out! Thank you PharmSouth and staff for your kindness and exceptional customer service skills!
