Staff very caring from the nurses, the aides, dietary, housekeeping and administration. Facility very clean. Wonderful meals for residence. I truly felt as though our mother was loved by everyone there - Like every other facility, there is a need for increased staffing, which is everywhere, But The staff truly does care about their residents.

The Winds is an excellent facility. They provide the care necessary to keep mom safe and well. The staff is so friendly and easy to work with. Any time I call or visit I am greeted with warm and friendly voices and faces and they treat me like family. Our situation is unique and they are my eyes and ears and hands and take special care to meeting the needs of not only my mom but myself as well. It is a comfort to know they have mom's best interest at heart and truly care about their residents and families. Chad, Jen, Chelsea and all the nursing care staff, thank you for being so kind. It is a truly wonderful experience working with all of you!

The Winds at Mattern Orchard is a wonderful Assisted Living Community. They provide wonderful care to the residents! If your loved one is social, the Life Engagement Manager has plenty of fun activities going on throughout the day, or if they prefer, they can do one on one visits in their apartment. The food is great and there are lots of choices for each meal, including soup of the day and breakfast cooked to order every day! I highly recommend The Winds for your loved one.

My Dad and Aunt are at the Winds They have been so good to them and so helpful when they need something. I went to Stacy with an issue I needed help with regarding Medicare and Social Security. She went out of her way and spent much time helping me fill out paperwork and make calls to resolve it. I appreciated the help so much as it was very stressful. They have so many activities for the residents and both of them do quite a bit. Meghan the activity director is amazing. They have themed activities often. She is always coming up with new creative ideas The home is beautiful and very well kept. The landscaping is gorgeous and residents can be in the courtyard safely at any time. I looked for years to find the right home to be prepared for when we would need one. I know I have made the right choice . Thank you staff for all you do to make this truly a home for my relatives.

This facility is a gem in Blair County. Just pull up to the facility and see the beauty of the landscape and outside courtyard. Inside it is inviting, homelike, and well maintained. The atmosphere is such that you can tell the residents are treated with respect. They are provided with many challenging and fun activities involving gardening, games, science experiments, art and music. So proud to have this beautiful treasure and precious residents in my neighborhood.

I’ve been visiting this facility for over 15 years. It’s consistently clean, the residents are always well taken care of and they’re kept busy with all the activities. The nursing staff is attentive and caring of the residents needs. In Blair county, this is hands down the place to go!

Took a tour with my mother staff were all very nice and accommodating. Extremely clean and very nicely decorated they offer a lot of great services to your loved ones all in all it was a very pleasant visit and experience

I have friends who live at this Community. The Winds has a very experienced team with a lot of those team members having worked there for years, and it shows! One thing is clear; they care deeply about older people making sure they get the care they need, they have a quality life, and they avoid ever going to a nursing home. They're into it!
